Hi everybody

I need your help

Started at 23stone 10lb in Feb 2007 lost between 6 ~ 7 stone but though illness and reaction to new medication have not done SS since August. Just weighed me and although not official scales I am now over 18 stone (18stone 1lb boo hoo)

Every day I try to get back onto SS as its the only diet that has ever been sucessful to me, I just cant restart. How do you get back to the first time you SS ???? Any one out there know????

Really really struggling and my goal is 15 stone by xmas ~ which I feel is realistic and obtainable on SS

I am absolutely rubbish at healthy eating and since SS I am hundred times worse, I am eating such crap at the moment and my portion size is fit for an elephant. So I do feel the only way for me is SS ~ if I could just get bl--dy started!!

Help !!!!

Sharon you are still 5 stone down on your starting weight. You should be so happy about that. Stop beating yourself up about this. Use all this energy you have got about being so negative about yourself and turn it around to positive vibes about yourself. Put out your SS for the day, your litres of water and nothing else on the unit. Someone said about lard putting people off. How about going to your local supermarket and buying a couple of blocks of lard. Put those next to your SS and water then everytime you think you can't do it imagine that that lard is what will come off you if you stick to SS. You have done it before and know it is hard, but 5 stone down you must know it is worth it. I am convinced you can do it

Hi Shaza,

From my own experience the only way I can get back to SSing is by following the steps back down into it.

Here is the link http://www.minimins.com/cambridge-diet-forum/9160-stepping-you-way-into-sole-sourcing.html

Every time I try to go cold turkey I don't last long on my diet.

I have four cheat free days done SSing and beginning to feel confident again!

Mind you husband says I am a real optimist as I say the same thing every time:eek:

Having lost six and half stone I never imagined it would be so easy to let it go and pile back on the weight and feel bloated and tired all over again.

I know it is hard t believe but I actually forgot what it was like to have excess weight on and all the negatives. Very much like when I was trying to stop smoking, when I would be off them for awhile I forgot about the cough that was killing me and I would think I was cured and go back smoking again:sigh: only to be reminded why it is not a good idea to smoke....I kept trying all the same to give the ciggies up and eventually I did and I have never looked back and will be ten years off them next January. Don't miss them or even want one now.

I am just hoping with my weight I will eventually get it right!!!

They say God loves a trier:) I told husband to write on my grave stone... "She lived hopefully ever after"

I am trying for three stone off by Christmas as well, it does seem very doable. It is my Christmas present to myself.

I am out walking every day and doing a little exercise as my fitness level had dropped to zero:eek:

The old body is very forgiving and each day I feel myself getting stronger and stronger...

I just hope I stay with it this time and that the next storm on the horizon does not knock me off the wagon again:cry:

Shaza you have done really well and your to be congratulated that you still have five stone of your weight still off after all you have been through.:hug99:

Have a look at the steps and give it a go. The other thing I find is that in the first week you need to stay away from the CD bars as for me anyways they do tend to activate my cravings.

I am in for a real trial for the next couple of days as husband is away on business and this is a danger time for me as I normally break my diet when he is away.

Thanks norwegian girl ~ just what I needed. I am normally so positive and I need to look at what I have achieved and not where I am right now. I need to pat myself on the back for what I have done so far Thanks

Thanks for that ~ I knew this would be a crazy journey and big changes for me in 2007. Still lost 79lb so must try and be chuffed, cheers me up when I see someone who I have not seen for ages and there reaction is mostly "Oh my god" or quick intake of breath so I must look very different

I am going to enjoy the ride ~ up or down its all character building (so my lovely Mum would have said)

Shaza

ps I would like to post some pics before and after from my pictures in my docs on pc. How do I do that simply and easily any tips.

Also whilst I am being thick how do I get the new title of the new post to show on the thread instead of the original one (hope that makes sense)

pps Had a lovely day ~ not had a thing to eat so thats not really very good ~ been to see friend back off hols and then my daughter, daughter in law and 2 lovely grandkids are coming and we are off to Matlock Bath to see the lights. For those who dont know, Matlock Bath is the only inland "seaside prom" with lovely shops and amusement arcades, and a lovely riverside walk ~ they do Matlock Bath illuminations where decorated lighted boats go down the river and also fireworks (not tonight though). Attracts lots of families and bikers too ~ its really lovely (fish and chip shops are to die for !!!) For those with a head for heights (not me!!) the heights of abraham cable cars are wicked. Also gullivers kingdom for the little ones (you loose 1 stone up and down the really steep hills !!!)

Hi Shaza .
Its not easy i know , and yes you've really done well with CD before and given a strong mind you will again . Till the end we must fight ! Good luck to you !

Hi Shaza :)

Just wanted to echo what Mini said about gradually stepping back down into SSing instead of going cold turkey . It's not so much of a shock on the ole bod :D

Every best wish to you hun. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!! :happy096:

Ah thanks all you lovely minimins friends

Where would I be without all your unconditional support big fat hug to all !!!

Been to Matlock Bath Illuminations and its basically a very quaint tradition of decorated rowing boats down the river all lite up with lights in the shape of various things ~ this year an ambulance won and a ship in a bottle came second. This tradition has been going 150 years and the blokes rowing the rather top heavy little rowing boats look like the original men tee hee tee hee !!! Had lovely family time with Milli (Amelia) age 3 and Fin bob (finlay) aged 1 last week who thought is was really funny to be in his pj's on Nanna's shoulders watching lights up and down the river instead of being in bed ~ ah bless them

I am so content now just need to get a handle on this diet thingy and all is well in SHAR SHAR LAND

Love to all

Starting winding down thingy tomorrow so fingers crossed
