Not losing weight but gaining fat!?

Hi everyone,
I started the Lipotrim diet 2.5 weeks ago, at the same time as my gf. She has been on it before with varying success, as well as the Atkins and Cambridge so has a good general understanding of how it works!
I struggled at first, though knowing that i could potentially get away with eating certain protein rich things sometimes i did stray slightly, however i did lose 10-11lbs in the first week. I am still straying slightly, but only the odd tin of tuna, or couple of eggs now, compared to burgers and eggs during the first week!
My problem is this. I weigh myself often at Boots Chemists and use the scales which can test your body fat. In the last 11 days i have not lost any weight, though it has faltered slightly by two pounds back and forth; however my concern is that over these 11 days the scales have said that my body pat percentage has slowly increased from 29.7% (29.5Kg) to 41.4% (40.8).
Can anyone explain why this is? As i understand it the diet should be eating fat not creating it! Am i in starvation mode and my body storing fat? or is it something else? Do i need to eat more calories, or less, or something? I would ask at the Pharmacy i buy the shakes from but they are awful and no help whatsoever! As far as i am aware i am healthy, have no thyroid problems etc; and feel fine right now. I have been a little naughty and have a little milk in tea occasionally, and of course some fish, however compared to my first week I'm probably eating less than half the extras now that i did then! Any advise or guidance would be appreciated, thx
 
Curiouser and curiouser I really don't know the answers sorry, i could guess but i don't think that would be helpful. Call lipotrim tomorrow they are the best people to advise, their number is on their web site or on the bag that your lipotrim comes in.
 
Maybe its beacuse you eating odd bits..... and the total of them all is kicking you out of ketosis! Have you checked on the sticks....

You may not be in ketosis...... And if your in starvation mode then your body will hold onto fat won't it??? Think thats right!!! I'd get some strips and test!!!

Try not eating at all and see if it makes a difference..... i think tbh thats all LT will say to you as your not following the plan as its meant to be. They're pretty strict when you ask them about the stuff you can/can't have!!!!

Puzzling indeed though!!! Hope you can figure it out!!!

Probably will be because your eating. Anything over the shakes your body will store as fat. For this dietbto work you should be 100% I m no angel my self but only caved once. Taking milk in your tea will effect things. I would say try a week 100% and compare. Good luck

But eating regularly probably wont be helping!!! X
 
update

I ate alsorts on my first week and did well. I had 6 x 100% beef bugers, 6 x fried eggs. 1 x tray of donner meat, tinned fish! but no milk in tea!

Now i only really have one small tin of tuna or mackrel extra per day, and a little splash of milk in 2 or maybe 3 cups of tea or coffee in a day, plus plenty of water and my two shakes and my body is storing fat, it would seem! Thats why i wonder if im getting enough calories or something?! I was going to come off the diet this weekend anyway, however if it started working again id probably stay on it as apart from the need to physically eat, and chew something the diet isnt too bad for me once i got over the first 5 days or so!

Just an update. In the first week i lost 11lbs whilst having 1 x tray of Donner meat, 6 x 100% beefburgers, 6 x fried eggs, tineed fish, as wellas plenty of water, and 2 shakes a day, and tea or coffee with no milk.
Now i am generally only having one small tin of tuna or mackrel extra per day and a splash of milk in 2 or 3 cups of tea or coffee per day, max! as well as my 2 shakes! According to the scales in Boots i have gained a kg of fat per day recently which is now about 11kg more! thats whats concerning me. I dont believe i am eating too much, or too many things.

Oh and yes i was burning Keytones during the first week, though the readings went up and down a bit. I have still beenburning too, though i have barely checked in the last week, when i checked yesterday i was burning, but at a medium level! Any ideas would be appreciated. thx

In the first couple of weeks you are only losing glucose and water, your fat level will remain the same. So now you weigh less that fat will be a higher percentage of your body.

The fat will start to go one you have used up those glucose stores.

The protein shouldn't take you out of ketosis however everything you have is adding to you calorie intake. As you have so few calories when doing this diet your metabolism will adjust to what it's getting and slow down. If you then add extra that may stop you losing some weight. But everyone's body is different and I had weeks when I did this first time around when I didn't lose anything despite being 100%. It should all balance out in the end, just stick with it.

That said I'm no expert but that would be my theory.

The majority of your weight loss the first week is water hun though!!! Not fat : (

That was going to be my guess as well but i still think you should talk it over with lipotrim or your pharmacist
