I joined Weightwatchers here in Germany a couple of weeks ago and had my first weigh in last night as it was a bank holiday last Monday, I am pleased to say that I have lost 3.9 kilos (about 8.5 lbs). As I don't speak German very well yet I thought I'd join an English speaking community to help keep me motivated along the way.
Although we are very close neighbours the food is quite different over here, and I have bought the Weightwatchers Classic German Cookbook, so expect some odd entries from me. I am pleased to say it isn't all Sausages and Sourkraut!!
I had already lost about 3 stone in weight before leaving England, but I do still have quite a fair amount to go. So far though I have been really motivated and refound my love for cooking, also it helps that Junk Food is less easy to acquire here than it was back home in the UK.
Right now I have 43 points per day and 49 Weekly extra points, today my food has been:
Breakfast - 50g Low Fat Quark (4 points), 40g Porridge Oats (4 Points), 100g Frozen Raspberries and a Banana.
Lunch - Tin of Weightwatchers Tortellini (6 points), Packet of Weightwatchers Thai Chicken Salad (5.5 points), Lettuce, Cucumber, Red Pepper, 2 tbsp Sweetcorn (1 Point), 2 tbsp Sour Cream (1 Point), 1tbsp Vinegar.
Dinner - Homemade Weightwatchers Bolognaise (4 points), Wholemeal Pasta to satisfy (7 points)
Snacks - Weightwatchers White Choco Crisp Bar (3 points)
Total Points Used = 35.5
