Good mood ruined!

I was so happy this morning and an old woman has just really upset me. She asked me if it was my first baby and when I said I wasn't pregnant she said "you will have to do something about that you look a bit tubby". What has it got to do with her. My husband is fuming. I have had 2 c-sections with my kids and the second one was not done very well to the extent that I actually could have a tummy tuck on the NHS but I would probably be an old woman by the time I get to the front of the queue. I know I still have a tummy and that it is the last place I lose weight from but why don't people think before they speak. Hubby said to take it as a positive as before I lost the 4 stone I have already no one asked me as I was fat all over whereas now it's just my tummy but it's hard to be positive about it. Sorry for going on for the second time in 2 days. I'm gutted!

maybe the woman was having a day where she wanted to upset someone .... and you just got in the way ... very odd thing to say and maybe the woman is not right in her mind ....
sorry to hear that , its a shame theres some strange people around that start on others because their not happy

Don't let someone else's rudeness affect you ~ she probably is one of those old people who think they've earned the right to say and do anything they like and damn the feelings of the person on the receiving end. You know you're doing so well and in control of your weight. She on the other hand is probably totally unable to change her ways. Enjoy your day, your lovely hubbie, your wonderful kids and your new skinnier self ~ have a great day :D

Yuck- Hubbys best friends wife sqeaked with excitement as she looked at me and said 'OMG is that a bump???' one week after we had a discussion about the pill where during it she asked if I was on it and I confirmed. Never been so afronted and her hubby was raging!! I was 162lbs at the time and she motived me to lose it so next time I see her she feels bad!! Don't dwell on it use it to motivate you and keep you going!

I don't think you're having a good week. She was just a very insensitive person. Most people would think twice before saying something like that, so really she was just out and out rude!

Once a woman at work said to me "you've got really fat". Most people might think it but you just wouldn't say it!
You can't control what other people say or think so put it behind you and move on.

I agree with everyone else - she's just a rude old bat!!!

Last week, a girl at work, who knows I'm doing Exante, asked how much I'd lost - I replied with a big grin - 20lbs in 4 weeks. She looked me up and down very slowly then said 'but Lesley, where from?'. I replied 'from my boobs!!!!'. That soon shut her up - at least I'm used to her though - she's the most undiplomatic person I know!

You've done brilliantly and tummy fat is really hard to shift - I've had 2 sections as well and have a delightful 'overhang' - again, tummy tuck on the NHS could sort it but would wait forever!

Carry on doing what you're doing - you should be proud of how well you're doing :)

Take care xx

Thank you Hun! She comes in quite regularly so I will see her again. Won't give her the satisfaction of showing she affected me x

Thank you Hun! This cheered me up so much. She probably doesn't have all the good things in her life that I have in mine so let her have her opinion. I will lose weight and be a yummy mummy some and she will still be a rude old woman x

You are so right! That's just what I have done and am more determined than ever so in one way she did me a favour. She better not do it again though or I won't be so polite lol x

It's not been a good week at all but getting better all the time thanks to the support of you lovely ladies! I have always worried about what others think and say about me. Well not anymore. It's funny how I have received so many compliments and my husband tells me I am beautiful everyday but it's rude insensitive comments like that that I listen to. Time to start believing my good press and forgetting the bad lol

Finally someone who understands my tummy problem! Thank you so much. So nice to know I'm not alone as that makes me stronger.

You are doing amazingly well! 20lbs in 4 weeks is a real accomplishment! X
