Don't see why not.

My main concern though is why your OH is going 'mental' because you had some boiled rice

i'd say go for it, I expect some people don't do well on too mcuh rice same as some struggle with bread and pasta but if it works for you its on the plan so shouldn't be a problem,

good luck with your goal x

If I'm on a green day, sometimes I'll cook extra rice, then cool it off and mix it with yoghurt - a cheat rice pudding ;-) for afters, or a snack.
If I was on EE, I'd have loads of chopped fruit in it to get my 1/3rd superfree

Rice is free on green so technically if youre hungry then you can have it.

Personally Ive cut down on what I eat between meals and only tend to eat fruit etc if hungry between meals. If I were that hungry to have something like rice as a snack, I would look at my meals to see if I could be eating more or eating something more substantial. But thats just me

If you are on green days it is free and I have eaten leftover rice as a snack. You have done so well so far but notice this is the second thread this week where you are stressing about what you are eating and mention oh's comments about what you are having. Hope you can both relax about it all because sw plans do work and from the posts you are on plan.
If you are worried make some of your snacks etc some of the superfree foods to fill you up and maybe help oh relax too?
Good Luck x

Thanks emsie, I think we are both really stressed at the minute with how far we both have to go, I know what to do bit I think it's the reassurance that I'm not the only one doing what I do, as I don't go to class and not sure what's "normal" x

I would mix it up a little and perhaps make some SW chips as a snack!!! make a tomato and onion salsa dip and voila!!! :D

xxx

I would imagine theres a lot of pressure on you both. Easy for me to say but try and take it one meal, one day and one stage at a time. Reward yourself along the way as you have done so well with what you have lost so far xxx

Tell him to go freeze his nuts!!!
Freaking out and stressing is a definite weight loss inhibitor!
The body thinks it will need extra energy and will hold on to them!

"normal" is sticking to the plan and if it's free food - it's as simple as that it is free food (as long as you are eating because you are hungry).

I get a lot of stick at work because they see me eat for breakfast and on a red day that might be:
2 x low fat sausages
whole tin of tomatoes
Mushrooms
2 x poached eggs
2 x wholemeal nimble toast
1 muller light yogurt

ALL that is free on a red and they tell me I can't eat that when I'm on a diet  .... I tell them when they have lost 3 stone in less than 3 months I will take thier advice, until; then they can shut up!!!

Stick to the plan (red/green or EE) and the weight will fall off x
