Joined Slimming World last week and still confused

about the difference between a speed food and a superfree food. I think this may be letting me down as I only lost 3.5 lbs in my first week and, where I would be estatic with this on a normal, week I'm used to having 5lb plus weight losses on a first week on other diets. Like does sweetcorn count towards you 1/3 superfree and beans?
 
Looking at your stats 3.5lbs loss is fab and if you looking for a quicker fix maybe slimming world isn't for you and you are expected to loose 1-2lbs a week. It's a healthier eating plan for life and losses can be slower than on other diets- but exercise will help boost them. But unlike other diets you are never hungry. BUT in saying that your loss is fantastic!

A speed food is a food lower in calories for the group it is in like fish and chicken are speed foods for meats as they are lower in calories per 100g then other foods that are meats. Superfree are most fruits and veg and on extra easy you need to fill all meals with a 1/3 of your plate and choose them first for snacks. However starchy veg like potatoes and sweetcorn and peas don't count towards your 1/3 superfree as they NOT superfree.

Do you go to class? If so ring your consultant ans ask them to go over it with you. If you have the book, the super free fruits and veggies are those on the yellow/orange pages near the front.

Beans and sweetcorn are not superfree. I do think youve done well with your loss considering you werent sure of the plan.

Slimming World is deffinitley the diet for me because although I haven't had the resulty I could on other plans, I hardly even noticed I'm on a diet. So basicaly I've GOT to include 1/3 superfree on my plate and the speed foods are only there for me to pick better choice but aren't required for anything?
 
Yeh thats right :) They are there if you needed help to boost lossesx
 
if you base your meals around super free then free then healthy extras and then syns in that order you should be fine x
