Hi all, hope everyone is well today. I started Exante yesterday and I am already feeling much more positive. I have done Lipotrim in the past but a combination of financial factors and not being able to get to the chemist have made me switch. I prefer the Exante shakes and soup I have had so far and am looking forward to losing the last 26 pounds till I am a healthy weight. I have had a lot of family problems which has sent me off course food wise but I have stayed more or less on track with my weight which is a good sign. I did get really angry yesterday though. My father-in-law has diabetes and has put on weight recently and has been walking in the garden and park which has helped him and of course I am happy about that. Yesterday he started telling me that my diet and exercise were a waste of time and I should walk round the garden for 20 minutes a day and the weight will fall off. Now I know he probably meant well but as someone who does very demanding exercise DVDs and has successfully lost 4 stones on my own it did annoy me. He has lost his eyesight and kidney function to diabetes because he refused to listen to doctors and carried on drinking alcohol. He is now telling me to drink lots of water to help my kidneys and help my weight. Firstly, there is nothing wrong with my kidneys and second I am drinking loads of water everyday and have been doing for years whereas he just started recently. sorry to go on but it makes me so angry and he is so stubborn. By the way, all he does the rest of the day is sit, eat or sleep for hours so the walking round the garden is all he does! Sorry for the rant but it has helped me to calm down now lol.

Thanks for listening to me x

Good luck with your switch over I am sure you will get to your goal soon
Lol at the rant.....family's ....

Hi and welcome :)

Hiya, you've had a great loss so far so i don't think you'll have a problem with Exante!

Don't listen to your FIL - the greatest thing you can do to put him in his place is prove him wrong ;) x

I find when people get older and have some complaints they just love to talk about themselves and their illnesses. You just have to accept that they know everything and you are doing it all wrong, then walk away and know in your mind you are right. Don't let it bother you, they will have had great satisfaction telling you all about it and you probably made them feel better having listened to them. You know what you're doing and don't need their advice.

Good luck with the diet

Thank you! I feel very determined and I don't want to look back later and think I could have been at my goal if I had stayed strong.

I feel so much better for coming on here and just letting off steam and I am so ready to prove him wrong!

Thank you so much Hun and you are so right. He wasn't trying to be hurtful and he is a very direct person in general but at least I know he says what he thinks to me and not behind my back like some other people.

I've come home today to find out he has told my mum-in-law she has to walk for half an hour everyday as she is diabetic and about a size 22. She is equally impressed lol
