You may be asking people to do the impossible - to say 'harsh' things about a fellow dieter based on 'before' pictures. And perhaps to lavish praise and compliments on the 'after' ones. This would be a most unpleasant task since we all have before and after pix and we remember all too well how we ourselves felt 'before'.

No good can come from making such comparisons and nobody would dream of crashing down negatively on the before 'you'. I think you would just internalise those comments and, should you ever slip, blip or regain even a little, you would start to replay them endlessly in your head to reinforce your own lurking inner bad, self-critical feelings. This might demoralise far more than you realise.

Take credit for how far you have come, and how much better you feel and look now you have lost so much weight. Then get on with losing the rest. You are still YOU - with all the wonderful and less wonderful qualities you had when you first started out. Hating the 'old' you can only do more harm than good.

All the very best as you head towards goal x
