Bloated!

Hi everyone,

I've been doing red days for the past 4 days and then yesterday I had a green day. This morning my stomach is so uncomfortable and bloated and my jeans feel tight!

Does anyone else find this happens when they switch days?

I think my stomach may be trying to tell me to lay off the carbs!

Nah, it's your body telling you need to drink more water. A lot of people get this when they do mostly red but throw in the odd green. it's bound to come as a shock to the system if you suddenly start eats loads of carbs. It doesn't mean that carbs are bad just that you need to have a more even divide of the plans so your body gets used to them. And you need to drink more water when you are doing green.
 
I try to drink 2L of water every day, so maybe it's just my body getting used to the change from red to green after the four days on red.

I was going to recommend aloe vera haha :) I have a very sensitive stomach and bloat no matter what I eat but have found that Michelle said aloe vera works well if you take it before bed. Also would defo recommend carbon tablets as they absorb the gases, yes your bloating is mostly gas. And the show stopper when it comes to bloating is pepper mint tea but if your going to drink it prepare to be farting around an hour later so wouldn't recommend drinking it at work if you don't have sympathetic collegues :)

Quick question though, do you find you loose weigh quicker when you do red and green as opposed to EE?

I'm going to get myself some of those carbon tablets, I think they could come in handy:rolleyes:

Personally I prefer green or red days, but do mostly green, I'm not really a big meat eater so EE is wasted on me.
 
I seem to lose better if I do red or green days rather than EE.

How about you?

I'll give those aloe vera tabs a go - think I'll leave the tea for when I'm not in work hahahahahaha! :8855:

If you've only just started doing slimming world it could be that your body is just a bit shocked by the change in your eatting, especially if your eatting much more friut and veg. Some people find that fruit really sets them off it they dont usually eat it all that often.

I would persivier and if you have a quite moment to yourself rub your tummy in a clockwise direction for about 10 min, very boring but quite benificial. And again sorry to be so crude but this will probably releive quite a bit of wind.
