Hi all,

So I've gone completely mad yesterday and today, I had bread both days and I am now sitting here just finishing my second piece!!

I hit the 3st loss on Monday at weigh in but have felt totally fed up the last couple of day and had to force myself to eat the packs. I'm in week 9 of Total, it is normal to have an 'off' few days?

Please help, today is the first day people at work have noticed the difference in me (new trousers and top) but it hasn't motivated me at all!

Hi fatat40 , OMG !!! 3 stone in 9 weeks that is utterly amazing !! How can a peice of bread make you feel better than losing 3 stone ? You are an inspiration to new starters like myself, i am sure experienced LL people can you give advice on sticking to it over a long period and i hope they can help you, but please dont slide you are fantastic Take care Lorraine

Hi fat40..step away from the loaf of bread! Don't start again tomorrow. Start again NOW. You're deliberately sabbotaging yourself and it's not normal to have 'off' days. You need to stick to the diet for it to work. Yes, there's still a way to go but having a break will only make it harder and all the more frustrating for you. First time I did LL it was for 10 months and I didn't eat anything at all. I just kept telling myself I was doing this so I could do all the things I had avoided for so long like going on a long haul flight, going running, chasing after my dog, not being in pain and a million other reasons on my list. There's just no point in going off the waggon. You might as well go and give your £72 to a stranger on the street.
You're allowed to be happy. You don't need bread. You don't need food to celebrate losing weight. You've done really well and you will continue to do well as long as you stay on track. Just please, don't sabbotage the effort you've put in thus far or you'll be back where you started again in no time and angry at yourself for not sticking to the plan.
Put the bread in the bin. have a pack and tell yourself how fantastic you're going to feel at Christmas. You can do this
Write a list of all the reasons you want to lose weight. be really honest with yourself. And call your LLC and have a chat with her about how you're feeling too

wow Roundrachel , thats what i love about this forum people doing this plan day after day that and seeing fantastic results and still full of motivation and can still motivate others . Hope what roundrachel said helps you fatatforty dont give in x

Like Rachel, I did LL for 10 months in 2008 and lost 10 stone, and also did it without having one single nibble of ANYTHING not on the plan.

If you want the plan to work, get rid of the bread. Bin it. Draw a line QUICKLY and get your head back in place.

There is no reason to have an off-day =- you just let your chatterbox get the better of you.

Messing about will drag this diet out endlessly - and this is a hardcore diet. Its not for sissy! :D You surely want it to be done sooner rather then later, right? So why mess??

SOemthign obviously triggered you to eat.....what you need to try and do is work out what it was. Boredom? Anger? Sadness? SOme emoitons flared up and you responded by eating. This is where the hard work comes in, and pays off.

You were SO elated just the other day at your losses - dont spoil it - ROCK it. :)

Bin the bread. Its the worst possible thing you can eat on this. :)

Good luck, be strong!!! ANYEONE can do it, if you CHOOSE to do it. :)

I agree with the ladies. LLT is Hardcore. You are doing so well, don't sabotage yourself.:)

Hi Rachel,

thanks so much for the reply, I knew I'd done the right thing posting my 'slip' today, needed that kick up the ass! Tomorrow is another day and I will keep telling myself that I have lost an amazing 3st in 9 weeks and what can I lose in another 9 weeks?

BlondeLogic,

I know now exactly what triggered the 'slip' I was bored, its only now that I've put my son to bed and have a bit of time to myself this evening that I realise it was total boredom that lead me down that path today. The boss was away for the afternoon and instead of just getting on with work I surfed the internet and that lead to boredom setting in.

Tomorrow is another day and I will get back on track from 8am in the morning!

Thanks again for the replies, they helped so much!

Good for you F40! Sometimes it's better to write about your slip ups than hiding from them and denying they've happened. I'm sure tomorrow will be a better day and the next step to losing the next three stone!! Keep going. It seems like a slog now but it'll be so worth it!

Wow, amazing advice! It's crazy how bread can be so appealing and it wasn't until Lighterlife that I realised that bread is probably my biggest trigger! £72 for 2 slices of bread is such a waste of money and by sabotaging and eating bread that's basically what it equates to.

It's a really slippery slope to start picking, trust us... it's not worth it!!!

It's definitely worth doing some work to figure out what it might have been that triggered you to lapse, sometimes we can learn from our lapses so don't beat yourself up! What's done is done. Learn from it and move on - best of luck xxx
