Hi everyone.

I've tried rosemary Conley, slimming world, exante (soooo hard only lasted 2 days) and now I'm giving ccling a go.

When ever I did rc I always cc along the way and it worked really well for me so that's the route I'm going to take!

I'm a mum of 4 kids aged 13 down to 2. I don't work, (hubby does) I'm 32 and I think I'm about 11 ish stone. I'll weigh myself first thing in the morning to get a proper number eek.

I have a wardrobe full of size 10 clothes I can't fit into so that's my goal, I roughly need to be about 9 stone. My goal is to loose a stone by Xmas. I have had a gym membership since April and I never use it so I'll be making use of it over the next few weeks.

When ever I've lost weight before I have always been a bit extreme about it and tried to loose as much as possible as quick as possible and I think that's always been my down fall, I restrict my food to much and it just leads to me failing. Slow and steady is the name of the game this time :)

I look forward to meeting you all and sharing my journey with you x

Hiya! :)

(ooh, that looks a bit silly on its own, erm, anyway look forward to hearing more on your progress - and a stone by Xmas, TOTALLY do-able!! ;) )

Thanks!

I'm going to stick to 1200-1300 cals a day for the first 2 weeks to give myself a kick start then go from there!

I'm only 5'2 so don't want to eat loads more than that.

Do people ccing also stick to low fat foods or just count all food?

Thanks x

Do people ccing also stick to low fat foods or just count all food?

Speaking ONLY for myself, I include full-fat dairy daily and have 25g butter once a week, and occasionally eat chocolate, salad cream and so on... I just count it all, the beauty of CC-ing for me is being able to eat any type of food so long as I count it in.

Also there's some evidence that low-fat dieting doesn't work for a lot of people, fat controls satiety and we do actually need to have some of it in our diet - just not that trans-fat hydrogenated vegetable oil crud.

JMO, not a nutritionist, just another person on the net with an opinion! :D

Nope! As long as counting I can eat anything I like! That's what stops it feeling like a diet. Obviously I do try and eat healthily but if I fancy something I'll have it. Not nearly as much as I used to tho & if I want chocolate its an 80 cal treatsize bar.

Thanks Rach. That makes sense. I was thinking of counting all food, then I won't feel as if I'm missing anything!

I do have some low fat stuff in the house that I always buy, things like low fat Marg, Mayo milk that sort of thing.

X

I don't keep low fat specificailly but tend to find it comes out low fat anyway becuse choosing low calorie options tend to be lower fat. Obviously unless i eat seeds or avocado.

Good luck :) Good attitude to take to lose it slower but more sensibly
