hi everyone :)
i will be ordering my first pack as soon as i get up in the morning (pay day, yay!)
i wondered if anyone has any success stories and/or helpful words..? i have been needing to take this on for quite some time now, and would like to lose 7 stone (please!)
has anyone lost near that amount? how did you find the experience?
TIA ~ Maia

enjoy your last few days of food :p

I started my journey with 8 to lose... lost 1 stone and a bit between ww and cal counting and have started exante this week (i'm on day 4). My mid week weigh in has me down 7.5lbs...!

The first few days are difficult, but once you get settled in ketosis its flying from there on. If you have unavoidable meals to go to there are keto safe options (usually salad, cheese, fish and meat)

and drink lots and lots of water!

Hi Maia & welcome It might help you to cut down on carbs for a few days before you start the packs i'm on my 2nd day & the headache is bad I did a vlcd a few years ago & lost 3 stone in 3 months then lost my way so i'm going to exante it away & stick with it to my goal weight
Good luck & keep us posted

Hi and welcome. I wil be starting this monday. I am low carbing at the mo to prepare for it. Good luck :)

thanks guys! packs ordered and will be here tomorrow.. had my 'last supper' tonight (and some red wine hehe) all prepared now, got my focused head on now.. going to need some serious will power through the next few days, of that i'm sure.. but it's great to hear others on the same journey!
good luck :)

Good luck, i'm considering starting so it would be great if you could keep us updated so i can see how a new starter is getting on :) x

Good luck on your 1st day

well, i have to say, this is not easy! but i am only in first few days.. i started on monday and the last 2 days have been awful, i've been SO hungry!! but, i have read lots of encouraging things about the hunger going, so am staying strong.. the test will be at the weekend when i go out :/
i have to keep reminding myself that food is what got me to this unhappy place, and it is all my own fault, and therefore i can and will change things for the better.
i am about to turn 30 and i do not want the pictures from ny birthday showing someone who is unhappy and 100lbs overweight!!

steph - if you are considering starting i feel i should warn you that the soups are really not very nice.. the shakes and bars, however, are yummy!

will post back again soon :)
hope everyone is doing well!

The hunger does go, the first week is by far the worse. Keep going I promise it will get better. And you grow to love the soups too.

Well done sweetie keep at it I promise it gets easier if you can get through these first few days you can get through anything xxx

GSQ - i'm sure the soups will have to grow on me, seeing as they're the only hot 'meal' i'll be having for the forseeable! the veg one isn't too bad, it's just they're all so creamy, and i prefer my savoury stuff to be, well, savoury!

onwards and downwards anyway :)

ok, so it's day 4, and i just couldn't help myself have a peek on the scales.. 5 lbs gone!! 5 lbs gone after 3 days on exante..
i hope it continues to fall off this rapidly!!
have a fantastic day everyone :)

Congratulations, that's great - how is the hunger feeling? I'm now on day 3 and i have to say i'm starting to feel a bit dispairing at the lack of energy and hunger, has it gotten better? x

morning steph
well, yesterday was actually a bit better, i managed to space out the packs a bit better - the first 2 days i'd done all 3 by 3pm! not good! but day 3 i have to say i didn't get many rumbles, til i was trying to get to sleep which then kept me awake for a while but i just kept drinking water..
i have been drinking soooo much water, black coffee and green tea, i feel like i'm constantly on the loo haha
oh, and on that note (sorry if TMI) i had to go buy some senna this morning as it's made me a bit, erm, bunged up!
but seeing that loss this morning has given me a bit of encouragement :)
i bought a size 12 skirt yesterday and have it hanging up in my room to try and motivate me..
we can do this!! hope today goes a bit better for you.. get this first week out the way and once in ketosis the hunger will be gone (so i'm told)
xx

That's great you're doing so well... i have a pair of size 14 jeans in my wardrobe that i havent been able to get into since before i had my 3 year old, they are my first clothes goal!

I'm drinking so much too... don't like coffee so i've been having black tea which is pretty yuck, might consider adding a splash of milk, i only have one or two cups a day so i'm not sure it would make much difference, but it would be a real little pleasure in my world of water and shakes! x

yes i have some old clothes to get into first, but that skirt is my ultimate goal ;)
i don't even fit into my maternity clothes atm, it's disgraceful! it's so annoying cos i lost most of my 'baby weight' (my son is 4 now) and then over the last year put it all back on, and more! :cry:and with no baby to blame this time haha
oh, have you tried bouillon?? when i get a massive craving for proper food i find a cup of that seems to help a bit..
i live a few doors down from a chippy/chinese and the smells every day KILL me!!! so bouillon seems to help take the edge off.. wow, i sound like a drug addict.
feeling a bit lightheaded this morning so might have to leave the jog for today :/

I can't even imagine doing exercise right now! Took the stairs up to the office this morning on the 4th floor and it near on killed me lol! My youngest is just 1, so can no longer blame the baby weight either, although two boys does keep me fairly active!

Haven't tried bouillon, never heard of it before joining this website, isn't it just like drinking stock? I'm craving something savoury but i don't think i could stomach that! Might look into it though, depending in flavours i might be able to kid myself that it's soup x

it is actually nice! i've used it for years as a stock and a drink.. i use it to flavour lots of things.. try marigold reduced salt organic.. and if you don't like it as a drink then you can use the pot up in cooking :)
