Hi Kaz, Wel...Woweee! Where do I begin?!
Just looked thro' all your diary starts and stops and wondered why you are going round and round in circles!
I do so feel for you as I can sense the angst that you have but you have to get to grips with whatever it is that is bugging you.
Do you think that you are such a failure whenever things don't work out 100% very day? Or is it that your work situation is very much a stumbling block to being able to keep to a proper eating plan?
When it comes to totalling up your calories how will you do that?
Can I suggest that you look online for help in that regard so at least that won't be too much of a hurdle.

I will come back soon to see how you are getting on and if you have come to any conclusions on the questions.

Take care .....:)

Hi metrognome.... Welcome along to cc. We're a friendly and supportive bunch on the whole :)

I've been stop and staring over the last few months but I'm happy to say the girls have stuck by me and kept me going :D

If you want to be able to track your food and exercise then sign up to my fitness pal.. Lot's of us from cc use it..

Good luck on your journey.

Welcome to cc'ing I've switched from SW as my main prob was portion control and I also struggled at the weekend wen we like to have some wine and a naughty tea. Cc'ing fits in so much better

CCing is good, because it is easy to have control. However, I did find it hard to stick to the low calories recommended by myfitnesspal unless I exercise.

I also find it quite addictive... I can't eat anything anymore without worrying what the calories are.

On the upside though, it really works!

Good luck on your journey :)

Morning, I decided about 2 weeks ago to defect from sw to cc! First week lost 2lbs :bliss:not so sure about this week:sigh: I weigh myself on a sunday,so we'll see what the damage is tomorrow.I use mfp to log my food diary, just need need to get back to exercise this week as I've had a very lazy week . So I hope joining you all will give the me the support I need. xxx

hi and thanks for replying at the end of the day i am just to lazy to stick to slimming world as i cant be bothered to cook from scratch each time, basically i have tried every diet going and have failed at each and everyone of them because i keep thinking about what i cant have.
for counting my cals i have signed up to the boots diet website.

i need to get rid of the mind set that if i go wrong and eat something i shouldnt then its not the green light to carry on eating anything and everything because i have failed for that day
thank you

True, it's a good habit to get into - at least in the beginning. Particularly if you're an "all or nothing" kind of person, and it sounds like you are! As in: "Oh, I've messed up by eating a crisp, so I might as well eat a takeaway and three chocolate bars and pig out on ice cream, seeing as I've already messed up".

I think if you're that kind of person, it's just really important to fully realise that this isn't how your body works! Counting calories before you eat them helps you think about that a bit more, and it helps you snap out of that mindset.

I used to think in that way too, and now I don't any more :)
