Classes certificates

Hi, I joined slimming world 6 months ago and my rep hands out the half stone, and all the rest of them like 10%, slimmer of the month etc...and the stickers for the book too! Oh and sends congratulations cards through the post aswell! It's a really nice reward to get them and gives encouragement when your feeling fed up...good luck with your weight loss

Mines the same - but she runs 3 groups, 2 of which are 50 odd people each so i think she pretty much does it full time & can afford it.
If your group is small, the consultant might not to be making much money herself - they are effectively self employeed.

I know what you are saying about maybe the consultant not making lots of money and having to pay for the awards etc but.......
If you pay 4.95 a week, that should be covered..... SW - each class should be uniformed..... i makes people feel happy when they get one which can help with weight loss etc.
I personally really look forward to getting one, i will hopefully be getting one tonmorrow or next week....its little mini goals for me

I completely agree it should be included - was just trying to explain why it might not be. I also love getting them & always show them off to the other half - thoigh its a fair while since i got one

We get the stickies but no certificates, until this thread I didn't even know the certificates existed!
Doesn't surprise me that we don't get them from our consultant - she sometimes gives the impression that it's almost too much effort to turn up for class, let alone much else!
But overall, I think it should be a uniform thing across all groups. We all pay our £4.95 per week after all so why should some of us get a lesser service?

We get a sticker and a certificate for every half a stone. Slimmer of the week gets a certificate, a SW fridge magnet and a sticker and the bowl of fruit. Slimmer of the month gets a sticker and a certificate and she also does great raffle prizes and sends out cards to us here and there.
Surely, as a brand it should be like macdonalds, you get the same regardless of which place you go to. We all pay the same money so surely we should all have the same incentives to help us along the way.

I don't think that's right that you don't get the certificates, at the end of the day your paying the same money as someone in a different group who does. I know it's only a pretty piece of card but it's the principle of the matter to me. In fact I'd be surprised if they're even allowed to do this.

I asked my consultant not to give me any certificates, because I only put them in the recycling when I got home!
I'm afraid I want my stickers, magnets and certificates I put them all up in the kitchen as I am proud of what I have acheived and they also act as a reminder that the new me is in residence. We pay 4.95 a week and all groups should have the same awards I even heard of one where they got pens. My consultant is really good and if she runs out when you are due one she makes sure you get one when the new stock arrives.

My C gives out certificates along with the stickers but she has been off sick for a few weeks and the replacement C doesn't buy the certificates so people (me included on my 1/2 stone) didn't get one. Didn't bother me too much but reckon they should be included and the C's shouldn't have to buy them extra! My normal C doesn't do Slimmer of month but she does slimmer of week and gives out a shield - but you have to take it back the following week for the next person and also the basket of fruit.

Consultants have to pay for everything. Stickers, certificates, leaflets, etc.
