Hi guys

Are there any other types of white bread aside from Nimble that count as a HEX B? Not really a lover of wholemeal!! ;)

oh dear ive been eating ww thick white...its lovely!!! its the same point value as ww thick wholemeal so thought it was ok...ive just asked this on the ww syn thread...oops!!

Sorry but it doesn't count as a HEB - it doesn't have enough fibre in it and that is mostly what determines if something is a HEB rather than just the syn value. The thick wholemeal is a HEB but the white one would need synned.

You can have 2 slices of any of the following

Wholemeal bread (small 400g loaf)
Hovis nimble malted wholegrain
Hovis nimble white
Hovis nimble wholemeal
Hovis wholemeal bread (small 400g loaf)
Warburtons wholemeal bread (400g medium sliced loaf)
Weight watchers wholemeal bread (400g thick sliced

I used to only eat white bread pre SW..I now eat WW brown it is decent bread and you do adapt..After 8 mnths on SW I really am as happy with brown as white

thanks for that the kids will have to eat the ww white from the freezer now! back to ww wholemeal it is! wasnt keen on the danish bread too light and airy it didnt fill me up.so the other breads from a 400g loaf, can they be thick sliced or not? cheers x

Its two slices from any 400g wholemeal, there are lots of brands listed on SW and in the book and also another option is the wholemeal pitta from Co-Op or Asda only.
These seem larger if split and filled with salad and ham. I also top them with cheese, tomatoes, mushrooms and peppers for a pizza style snack.

My love of white bread was a worry but you do actually seem to wean off as done properly you are eating so much you do not miss it.
I have had one crusty white bread evening saved syns for it and it was lovely as a treat.

Thanks Jo i might have a look in asda next time for any other 400g thick wholemeal although the ww one is nice but quite expensive for a small loaf.I like a wolemeal sandwich but i do like white toast..oh well im sure i ll get used to it!!cheers x

I mainly use mine for 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil as I cook for my blog so sometimes need it plus its better on Actifry chips and my roast potatoes also in the Actifry much better result than Frylight, they taste really chip shop like.

You use white bread to cook Actifry chips? ;) :D :8855:

Yes! You can have Nimble Granary/Wholegrain one, 2 slices. The other white loaf you can have is one of the gluten free wheat free taste free ones that cost about £3, so I wouldn't bother.

I now have Nimble granary as Nimble white seems to have vanished from all shelves near me! :-(
