Hi

I'm considering doing Atkins......have been doing WW but finding I am falling off the wagon! I've considered Atkins before, and have just read through Jim's posting about starting ATkins.............but can I ask - are Tomatoes acceptable in Induction? I can't see them mentioned and I really don't like many other vegetables!! :sigh:

thanks

no , but i do sneek in the odd slice after induction ........ jump aboard and join us x

I found tomatoes stalled me on induction. Love them now:)

Oh nuts! Only just seen this thread - been eating tomatos all the way through - in omelettes, in salads, in bolognese etc... maybe this has been my problem! Eek!!

SD xx

One of the members here has suggested that i avoid toms, which is a bugger cos they are so versatile. :(

But if i want this to work I'm gonna have to.

I sometimes use 1 large or a few cherry toms when making curry, i just make sure i count the carbs and have them as part of my daily allowance.

Tomatoes are an acceptable food in phase 1 (induction) on the official atkins website.

Tomatoes were excluded on the older versions of atkins altho the latest version lets you use them. As always you have to figure out what works for you. They were my staller initially - which was a disaster as i adore them! In fact i would have said i couldnt live without them - much like pasta, bread, rice......
