Claire Richards - Slave to Food

polly_pepper

*reformed* sugar junkie
This has been on Sky Living the last couple of weeks (Wednesday evenings at 10pm I think). It follows Claire (one of the singers from Steps) and the ups and downs of her weight gain/loss. Just wondering what people have thought of it so far? I'm a little disappointed at the moment because it doesn't seem to tackle anything really, although it does illustrate that even with all the help in the world it's still a struggle. Maybe I'm being too critical though?

Edit: Not sure if this is entirely the right forum but it seems the only media related one :)

I've been watching it. She just seems to be in this crazy pattern of needing to lose weight in two minutes and then the moment shes hit it and done what she needs to do she will go and pig out until shes put a few stone back on

I know this happens to others too - I've never been a yo-yo dieter - I've just always put on and never lost it until I got to 19st 4

I'm glad she had the nutritionist in this week as she seems to genuinely not see/want to see the connection between what she's eating and the weight creeping on. Maybe she hasn't had her trigger moment yet!

I think she looks fab as she is, I'd kill to have curves and not rolls!!

She's a pretty girl :) it's just a shame she doesn't have more of a healthy eating plan with the occasional treat - like SW

There are quite a few threads on the programme, I think the biggest one is in SW Off Topic

I agree - I was a bit disappointed as well as it doesn't seem to tackle anything properly. Which is such a shame really, but I think Clare seems like such a lovely and genuine person and I can relate to some of what she's going through!

I'm enjoying it actually because I can so see me in her (although other half said I'm not in denial as much as she is)!
The nutritionist actually put me off last week she bombarded with science and I'm not surprised Claire had a blank look on her face, I did too!!!
It's encouraging to see how difficult it is and it's not just me. I want a quick fix too!!!!

I seen this, it's really good. She is a typical yoyo dieter. Know that feeling!
