Hurrah! - 99 day to Christmas!

Ditto but also, What a Wonderful Life + Miracle on 34th Street :)

Singing very loudly and badly to Whams "Last Christmas" and remembering every moment of the video:eek:

Well I'm not a SW-er so not sure if intruding but Mariah Carey? Are you sure? Or is it just the physical attributes rather than the singing ability that grabs your attention? lol

See you can always rely on us Midlanders to provide you with decent Christmas songs, good old Noddy & Roy.

Lol start you're own thread, mine was for the music;)

One of the few times you can blast Wombling Merry Christmas out and not get arrested by the "good taste" police:8855:

You really don't like me do you  You called me a wuss the other day cos I hadn't tried 'snot in a helmet' & now, just because I'm not psychodelic, you don't want me to join in your post :sigh:

Best part of Christmas?

Slade, Wizzard, Mariah Carey!

Ho ho ho. no longer in treble figures:cool:

OK then .... where on this post does it say that it's ONLY music? No problem, I'm going to slink off to my corner now cry - I do have feelings you know, I can be hurt :ignore: :sad0071:

Remembering how all the girlies use to swoon over George back then. I love reminding them of this.

Whatever happened to Andrew Ridgely eh?

Roy Ulysses Wood is my all-time hero (music or otherwise).

Mariah Carey, has "that song" which is becoming or has become essential Christmas listening.

Aww Munchkins, what can I say, I'm so sorry! I feel such a bully and on a one-man tirade against you.:( (I also should have realised even a throwaway line would be held against me and stored forever in your memory lol)

I'll share the thread (gladly) and confirm Essential Christmas Eve viewing is It's a Wonderful Life.

Depending on the mood though, Fairytale of New York & Bad Santa have their merits too;)

Has anyone seen A Christmas Story as this rates high and I've never seen it?

I remember A Christmas Story, it`s hilarious!! My kids (now grown up) loved it!!

Personally I love any version of A Christmas Carol. Even the muppets version!! lol

Johnny Mathis When a Child is Born ahhhhh

Singing Carols on the lawn outside our church. Driving home after the midnight service.
prepping veg on the sofa on Christmas Eve afternoon, watching a film.

I'm sorry but it's just not Christmas until a) I've heard Fairytale of New York and b) the coca cola 'holidays are coming' advert has been on television.

Oh, and best Christmas song is O Holy Night...fact! I dare you to disagree! :p

I still swoon over George, despite him being rather a naughty boy:eek:
And can't wait to see him in concert in November;)

Oh I agree, for me it HAS to be sung by Celine Dion, it's on my iphone ready!

I'm similar with Darlene Love/Ronettes as I'a huge fan of the Phil Spector sound. Darlene's Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) and All Alone on Christmas work for me.

My Ex only used to buy Coke products at Christmas as a thankyou for those great "Holidays are coming" adverts:)

I heard the 1st Christmas song on the 25th June (6 months to xmas) Radio 2 - Chris Evans has been doing this a couple of years now..... I think the song was "do they know its christmas"

Any christmas song makes me want to dancing around, even when im in the car ;)

Wont be long till we have christmas songs on the radio November how sad am i! lol

Oh I dunno, a lot of people are cynical towards this, but once the christmas spirit (or beer) kicks in, they all mellow and join in;)
