Ladies i go to portugal in 3 weeks and wondering if its gonna be as simple over there as it is here counting calories??

I want to beable to enjoy myself and eat what i like (i dont mean all junk food)

My hubby thinks i should forget the diet and enjoy myself as its only a week, but i would be dreading coming back to what the scales say :sigh:

What do u ladies think? xx

I didn't calorie count when I recently went on holiday. But I tried to be sensible about things. Well I drank a LOT. But food wise I didn't just automatically go for the worst option. Or eat way huge portions. But I did let myself enjoy it and have things I wanted. And on holiday I find I am walking a lot everywhere so burning calories there :)

I used MFP while in America and found it really easy you can use it offline so don't have to go the Internet,I did put weight on but only a few pounds after 2 weeks in calorie laden Florida!
I swam every day and walked.
I'm going to use it when I go to Cyprus in a few weeks just to try and keep a track, best thing to do is put in an average if what you eat we are going bed and breakfast so that will be easy to record it will be all the alcohol that will be the worst for me!!!!!!

Thanks ladies, i dnt have the app, my fone doesnt have apps! i'll just eat sensible, and i'll also be swimming and walking all day everyday, so should be ok! xx

I was on holiday and at the same time slimming. I didn't count calories properly but I made sureI didn't over indulge just with common sense. I still enjoyed naughty holiday foods but for example i might have half or less of a fattening pastry but have it instead of breakfast, not as well as. I would have the bread roll with cheese etc. but sacrifice a snack. I had lost a couple of pounds when I got back so I was chuffed. I learned my lesson a couple of weeks earlier when we went camping in Norfolk and I didn't think too much about what I was eating. I gained about 4lb in a five day trip. Not acceptable!

See i'm not a breakfast/dinner person im all about the tea time! Breakfast i can only just stomach cereal, dinner is somethin small like a plain jacket potato or a sandwich and then i like to save my cals for tea, If anythin i eat less in the heat, so i may just be okay :D xx
