Might be having a bbq later,as all of my friends are not on sw they will just be using normal burgers, etc.Whats the best thing for me to take instead?I really dont want to ruin this week for myself, but i wouldnt want to miss out either :(

Its well for some having bbq weather :(

Can you make your own burgers? if not just stick to chicken breasts or steaks etc making sure there is no visible fat and have them with baked potato & salad (if you're doing EE) or just salad if you're doing Red, just try and stick to the healthiest options available to you :)

if you like fish, why not try salmon steaks, spinkle with a little black pepper, wrap in foil and pop on heat, only take a few minutes to cook, server with crispy salad, pots or rice

don't let friends bbq pass hun... i agree with vanilla cupcake, you can still do bbq with steaks, chicken or burger, just be sure to get rid of the fats. it's okay to treat yourself specially with friends around.. moments like that are priceless.

Haha it might not be BBQ weather just yet lol. Thanks for the advice, you have given me great ideas :D

Thanks everyone :) i love fish too, really great helpful ideas :D

Enjoy! Whether it's gonna be a bbq party or you're just cooking inside or perhaps just a pizza party. whatever it is, have fun with your friends! cheers!

Actually none of us have a decient back garden so we are all going to a big park and taking our bbq with us lol.Its my friends daughters 3rd birthday today,so it was a last minute decision to have a bbq.Now i am armed with lots of good ideas i can go to asda and sort myself out :D

I find chicken kebabs a god send, or you can do steak kebabs. Syn free or low fat sausage kebabs! (I like me kebabs!). Or just veg kebabs. Take some syn free dips or low fat Mayo n do lots of dipping! Tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and peppers cook beautifully on the BBQ!

Went to several bbqs this summer and always took my own sausages (morrisons eatsmart - 0.5 syns each) and I always made my own burgers to take with me too.

I make up the kebab recipe and make burgers or koftas with it and they ALWAYS disappear before the regular burgers do, lol. A small burger fits nicely into half a pitta bread, bulk it out with shredded carrot, white cabbage and onion and don't forget to take some synfree or low syn dips/sauces. (We have this regularly for our Saturday night fakeaway in our house with SW chips and veggie kebabs).

*Tips - always take more than you can eat yourself cos anyone that likes kebabs will grab them and always have a few copies of the recipe with you cos you WILL get asked for it by most people that try them. ;)
