I can't find the panic button!!

I wasn't brilliant last week but managed 0.5lb loss today but something has gone badly wrong and I have ended up having a major binge today and just worked out that I've had 150 syns today and nothing I have eaten has been free food! I've had over 3000 calories and over 150g of SatFat!!!
I'm mortified. I'm sat here watching supersize v superskinny crying at them when I should be banging my head against a wall!!

Please knock some sense into me :(

Deep breath! Yeah, you've had a lot to eat today and that may mean you have a STS or even a tiny gain depending on how the rest of the week goes but you need to draw a line under it. You can cut your syns down (but have at least 5 a day) and have lots of super speed foods to help. You have another 6 days - you may still surprise yourself with a loss.

The main thing is don't beat yourself up over it - we all have off days, just make sure you're back on it first thing in the morning. Do you know why you went off plan? It can be good to identify a pattern to stop it happening next time.

Most people loose weight on their first week then slow down so don't worry, once you get into the swing of the SW books you will be ok.
Try to write yourself a daily diary and show it to your consultant who should be able to advise you from it.
Good Luck and stick to it!

3000 calories is slightly less than a pound. And you'll use over 2000 just existing :) If you draw a line under it and start again RIGHT NOW you might even still lose this week.

We all do it, and we all still lose, it's one day, you've got a whole lifetime to do this. Don't stress yourself out abou it, it's done now, just start again now. Whatcha having for tea?

Thank you for replying!
Helzzz, the morning after the night before is always dangerous as I wake up craving the bad things I was having previously. I've had a banana and a cup of tea and have come back to bed to avoid the kitchen!!! I had no-one at home yesterday, I rarely have a night on my own. My partner works away, Kids stay at Dads and I wasn't working as I've had split shifts this week. I bought some melting cookies and ice cream on a whim as I knew it was weigh day and I was on my own that night. BIG mistake.

Bilsat, I wish I could use being a beginner as an excuse! I've been doing this since 2007 (And lost 5 stone) but have struggled over the past year and have regained some of my weight. I'm also a consultant so know FD like the back of my hand. On here I try to be just a member though. You are so right, if I simply start filling (and keep filling) one in, it will keep me on track!

Ermintrude, Thank you! That made me smile. I guess all is not lost. I feel better for physically putting my thoughts on "paper". If I hadn't posted last night I would just pretend and possibly lost the week altogether. I've had a banana & cuppa for breakie. Got salad, new potatoes and cooked ham for lunch and a fresh fruit salad but that will probably be late afternoon as I'm working tonight so try to eat less through the day.
I'm going to start my food diary this morning, stick to as few syns as I can through the week and be organised so that I'm well prepared on my nights! So perhaps I will be in the kitchen today but for different reasons!
