Shall I go over to WW?

Hi everyone,

I am currently with SW and even though I have only had 3 weigh ins I am very disappointed with weightloss so far... and I know people who are doing WW and are losing so much better then I am.
I was told by SW fans that even 0.5lb a week is good and is healthy and to lose too fast will just mean I will put it back on later...(I only want like 2-3lb a week)

I just don't know what to do...shall I give SW longer or switch to WW?
I want to lose about 2st, and at this rate with SW I don't reckon I will be getting that for aaaaaggeessss!!

I don't know why SW isn't working for me like everyone else, maybe i am eating too much, maybe I need to be more disciplined with my food, where as SW lets you eat 'free' foods till your full ...... this is all driving me mad thinking about it all...I don't want to feel hungry and I a worried that WW I will feel that way, but I don't want to be with SW and over eat and gain!

personally if you don't feel the diet you are on is working for you then yes i would suggest changing .... if not you will be less motivated to try and stick to it as you will have a negative image of it in your head :)

personally i found SW didn't work for me as like you said you can eat so much Free food that you don't learn portion control ...... so if this is where you need help, like i did then yes i would say WW is better for you.
when i was on SW i could make a syn free spaghetti bolognaise (that would feed 4) and i could eat all of it and not count it ! ..... this is not going to help with portion control and i didn't see how i would loose weight if i ate it all !

I have just made the move to ww after following sw.

Yes the losses are slow on sw but you have averaged loss of just over 1lb a week. It's a healthy weight loss between 1-2lbs a week. So you have done well :)

But I agree, if you don't feel sw is right for u and u want to control your portions too then make the move. I have just done my first week n lost 3lbs. I don't expect this every week as I know the weight took years to pile on, it ain't gunna fall off me quickly (I wish it would tho!!!)

Why don't you give ww a go. Go to meeting get the books, learn the plan and trial it for 3 weeks, see if u enjoy it better, compare your loses and see if it fits into your lifestyle. I find it much more flexible and I could follow this plan for life as you really can eat everything!

Good luck with what ever you chose x
