hi do any of you have bt vision, i have just finished with virgin who i thought was a great service, however my bills were coming in at 90 a month. So my bt vision stuff arrived today and so far im not too happy :(

No listings are coming up on the tv guide, i was told someone would come out and put a new bt box in for me ( where i wanted it). I got a text saying that since there was a previous box i didn't need a new one so nobody would be out! So my existing box is in the hall, and the hub has to be beside it, but i don't have an electrical socket there so i have an extension. So now for something that is supposed to be wireless, i have cables running everywhere accross my hall/front door. Apparently if i want a new bt phone extension in my office area i need to pay 200:eek:. And you need to pay for the on demand stuff!!!!:mad:

ive been sitting since 7 trying to figure it all out, im angry, and drained and soooo trying to stay on plan as i only joined ww online yesterday.
If any of you have bt vision could you please advise xxx rant over xx

Hi Sorry hun,:(

Can't help :(- but can only sympathise (not sure if thats spelt right) I've been married for 11 years now and I still cannot get BT to mark the bills for MR and MRS :sigh::sigh:not matter how many times I tell them and they put this on they "computer system".

I am thinking of getting BT Vision but as I understand it you have to have a phone socket where the TV is? - well thats crap - cos I too have a socket in the hall I certainly donot want wires etc everywhere - you'd think it could be wireless now wouldn't you..

I'll be interested to see how you get on.

Fingers crossed.:fingerscrossed:

Hi, we have it, you do not need the phone socket near the tv! When we got it we had some special plugs arrive with it that sent the messages between them, not sure what they were called but they were quite big on top and grey, we don't use them now as moved and the distance is not too far so have a longer phone line cable thing.

It is not too hard to set up I found, did it by myself, but if you have difficulty they have a tech team that should either come out or talk you through it, I know we had to use them once when the new hubs first came out.

Overall though I wish we did not have it as we have poor signal for tv anyway so often the channels are jumpy, if however your signal is ok I would imagine it would be really good. I do love being able to randomly find old tv series on replay, and if you have kids there are hour long sessions of back to back cartoons; I particularly like Charlie and Lola, though my little boy refuses to watch tv!!!

You don't have to pay on demand if you don't want it, and there is so much replay stuff you wouldn't believe!

Take a bit of time out from it, it is so horrible when you can't make something work, and then often if you come back later with a fresh set of eyes it is so simple. I remember sitting at my sewing machine sobbing for 7 hours as I could not rethread it!!!
