The gym instructor asked me yesterday what my aims were for the gym. So I told him I want to lose alot of weight.

He said asked what my diet was like so I told him I was on week 2 of slimfast. He said it's not the best diet to be on. He has a diet that will make me lose 2 stone in 12 weeks guaranteed. It has food choices and it is 3 meals and 3 snacks. The 7th day evening meal should be replaced by a treat such as fish and chips as this will restart your metabolism again.

Well this has left me in a quandary as
A) slimfast ain't too bad
B) I have lots of slimfast stuff in cupboard
C) it means going back to normal food
D) a man has invented this so not sure I trust him lol.

A girl in my office was following it but found it too restrictive. I think I need restriction!!

The thought of being 2 stone lighter just before Christmas excites me xxx

hi hunny
you just have to do whats best for you!
2 stone lighter in 12 weeks is great.it works out to like 2.3lbs a week though?which is achievable on slimfast!!
so really you just have to question yourself.

1.do you feel like your missing out not eating solid food for 2 of your meals???
2.do you think eating solid food and having a treat will make your life easier or harder?

im currently on my 3rd week of slimfast and my only exercise atm is walking around work all day (i work in retail) and walking to the bus stop, shops etc.iv lost 2lb the first week and 2lb the 2nd,and im really enjoying the diet.i dont feel deprived, infact,it makes me appreciate food even more because my evening meal is planned out and it makes me want to have a "proper" meal.
you have to find a balance though,
like for myself i dont always have my 3 100calorie snacks.
ill have one shake for breakfast, one for lunch, and then have my evening meal of around 600-700 calories, and then if im craving sugar after my meal ill have a big mug of sugary tea or a slimfast chocolate bar!
or..............if im doing a late shift at work ill have a massive breakfast and use the shakes for lunch and dinner.
every diet you do has to try and fit around your lifestyle,so if your already getting on fine then why take the chance?it might take time for your body to adjust to the new diet??
i started the gym in april,i was there nearly every day after work, mostly cardio.and was on slimfast shakes, and after my first week of losing 6lbs i didnt lose anything else for 2 months!!!!!! frustrated is an understatement! and then i gave up completely!
so this time im not going the gym yet,im walking quit a bit,and waiting until most of the weight is off and then hopefully i can start toning.
sorry for talking soooooo long
(havent been on in a while hehe)
i hope at least 1 thing i said will help u make your choice!
goodluck hunny and keep me posted xxx

Did he say what the other diet was?
I personally need to avoid food.

It's basically more protein and complex carbs. Breakfast, pc of fruit, lunch, pc of fruit, main meal, supper (which is either 2 sm bio yogurts, ryvita & cottage cheese, or healthy cereal with skimmed milk). Lots of meat and veg in the meals :) xxx
