Green Days Creature of habit

I've just swapped from Atkins to SW as I couldn't stomach meat anymore! I've never done SW before and am a bit slow at working out my day's menu. I just wondered if anyone else likes to eat the same things each day? I'm a real creature of habit and like to have the same breakfasts, snacks, tea, etc. Is this ok on SW, or does it defeat the object? I'm not much of a cook either!

Hope to hear from you x

With any "diet" if you don't vary your food enough your body will get stuck in a rut. Personally, I have the same breakfast everyday, only occassionally I'll go for something different. Due to work circumstances I often have the same lunch but I make sure I eat a different dinner everyday for variation.

I Agree - having variety in everything your eat is hugely important. Not only to ensure continuing losses but also because having the same things all the time soon becomes boring and then you are more likely to fall off the proverbial wagon.

I did Atkins and it made me feel physically sick!! Even the thought of meat or eggs made me gag after a while:(
I LOVE SW, even if i'm not always the best at sticking to it, though i'm getting better.
I have 1 of 2 breakfasts - either all bran or weetabix with yoghurt and a banana
Lunch is either a roll with fruit and yoghurt or soup and a roll
I mix my dinners up a bit.
I do mostly green days - still recovering from the meat trauma of Atkins:8855:

I dont think eating the same things will hurt you, but it means you are definitely missing out on all the amazing SW recipes! Try and get a recipe book off ebay or something - there are so many great things you can eat, don't limit yourself! The beauty of SW is that you can have variety in your meals.

I agree. The only danger of having the same old thing day in, day out is that you may become bored and then fall off plan.
Personally for me, I need to have something different everyday to keep things interesting. Even if I make a large portion of 'something' for dinner in the evening, I very rarely have the left overs the next day as I just don't want it again....I like to have what I fancy and that changes daily.

Variety is the spice of life, as they say and SW allows it, so take advantage!!

I usually have the same weekday breakfast (porridge and fruit) as nothing else seems to keep me going until lunchtime. Luckily I love it.

I sometime have the same thing for a few days for dinner as I am often cooking for one. As long as you are not bored and are getting all the nutrients you need, no harm done.

I tend to do the same thing, I pretty much have the same breakfast each day-weetabix or porridge. Would like to try some different dinner choices though so I might get a recipe book and get experimenting! This is intended to be a way of life so I guess the more variation you have, the more likely you are to stick to it long term ( ie after you reach target).
