Hi Just wanted to say hello to everyone - I have found some great recipes and tips on this site in the last week that have really helped me. I am following the atkins diet and have just completed my 1st week of induction:D and so on to the 2nd........

Welcome and congrats on getting through your first week. I notice from your profile that you are 6lbs down from your starting weight... was that all in your first week? If so, that's awesome! Well done! :)

Well I have done Atkins before but never managed to stick 100% with it even in induction (think cheeky glass of wine or 4 at the weekends:rolleyes:) But I did do the 1st week without any cheating and it was even my B'day over the w/end.

Yes I managed to lose 6.2 pounds last week which I'm thrilled about - I did feel a bit rubbish last week a few headaches and lethargy but today I feel really good and have energy again xxxxxxx

I'm a newbie too, well done on your loss for this week, long may it continue. No what you mean about feeling rubbish.... only my first day yesterday and i felt awful in the evening.

I know the 1st week was tough - the headaches at the end of the day were pants and I got an upset stomach on the 3rd and 4th day - it does pass - feel fine this week although the scales dont seem to moving at all this week for me v.frustrating xxx
 
don't worry about the scales honestly,your body will often
take time to catch up on showing your weight loss,
as long as you are eating right drinking your water ect
then you will see changes,watch your clothing begin to feel
looser,less tight in places that you never thought about,
small little changes that you don't think about,even shoes
feeling less tight.less swelling in fingers,or you could if you
felt like it,get a measurer(SP) and keep a track on the inches
as they disappear,personally i like the clothes one,as the scales
an me aren't friends.
