Advice needed......

Hello,

ok so I've been on sw 2 weeks tomorrow.(home weigher) I'm due to weigh in tomorrow and a sneaky peak this morning is showing a 2lb gain. I've been as good as gold. I've done wk 1 of the C25k and also level 1 of the 30 day shred. (7 time this week). So why am I showing a gain?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. x

Sometimes when you start exercising, you can show a gain as the muscles hold on to fluid initially.

Try and weight yourself once a week only, at the same time of day, in the same place and preferably wearing the same clothes.

Two possible reasons

Firstly, sneaky peeks are notoriously wrong due to due weight fluctuations

Or you are not drinking enough water for your activity level.

Either way both are easily resolved so don't feel down

Thanks for the advice ladies, I weigh in at home on Monday mornings.

I think I really need to drink more water and hoping the scales will be kinder to me tomorrow, if not I'll continue to work hard and should see a good result next week. x

Well I got on the scales this morning (official weigh in day) and scales say -0.5. not much of a loss but better than a 2lb gain. I think in future no more inbetween weigh ins. x

Firstly, step away from the scales!! Tomorrow is your WI day, our bodies fluctuate an awful lot through out the week. I know it's easier said than done but jumping on the scales before WI will only mess with your head and you run the risk of it throwing you off plan

I had a 0.5lb gain when i was exercising which was a complete shock. The only thing I can put it down to was exercising. For the last 2 weeks I havent stepped foot in the gym and I have lost 2.5lb two weeks on the trot.

Exercising has soooo many benefits however I just need to drop into the 9's before I fully pick it back up again. I have been doing a lot of walking which seems to be doing the trick for me although everybody is is different

Remember to drink lots of water x
