feel shocking week 5... any tips :-(

Hi everyone... im 27lbs down, and the middle of week 5. I feel horrendous - almost like I did before reaching ketosis - sick, headaches, dizziness, no energy. I have stuck to the diet 100%. I know we shouldnt have to take extra vitamins.. but would this help me? If so, what do people recommend... I feel as though I am drunk! xxx
 
Are you due on or anything like that hun!!! You are getting all the vitamins you need with the shakes so i cant see that making a difference hun!!! Maybe try ringing the help line!!! Hope you feel better soon!!! x
 
Sadly I've no concrete advice - all I can say is, it happens... I've had times when I've felt marvelous for days on end and then one day I wake up and everything is pants and I feel down, and grumpy, tired, listless, headachy and bloomin' miserable and no clue why.

But it passes. I hope yours will soon...

You poor thing, how are you feeling now? i find if im not feeling too good that a hot bath/nap/light exercise helps! there was a day around wk 5 actually that i just felt awful, like that ! and i had had my last shakee of the day around half 5pm. by 9pm i was in bits, and decided to have an extra shake/ i know were not supposed to, but thought the boost of vitamins/minerals/energy might help. i would do that again if i felt that bad, i mean its only 140 extra calories for the day, and it's not as if you are eating something "bad"? your body will tell you what it need hopefully!
 
Thank you for your replies... I feel much better now! :) It seems to have passed... I was so tempted to have an extra shake too, but managed without - I certainly will have one if it happens again, like you say - its not the end of the world is it.
I am due to get weighed on Weds, Ive been on the scales and its a depressing 1lb loss this week! thats quite shocking compared to my other losses... will hope a miracle happens and I manage to lose a few more pounds before weigh day! xxx
 
I'm in the middle of week 5 too. I don't feel like you do, but I can't stop thinking about what I'm going to eat to maintain my weight loss when I finish this diet. Only problem is, I still have 5 stones to go.

Oh Jaime, try not to be doing that to yourself. It'll only make you pine for food. Why not measure your progress in short term goals as other people on the forum have recommended...say half stone mini-goals and make sure you give yourself a lovely non-food related treat as you meet each mini-goal. A spa treatment or a hair treatment...something that you'll be looking forward to which will take your mind off food. Best of luck with it :)
 
Thanks Shivie. I don't set goals as I beat myself up if I don't reach them. On this diet you can't really do any more than stick to it. I think it's the thought of the next 5 months with just 3 flavours of shakes. Maybe Cambridge is the answer.
