Preventing Hair Loss

BordersGirl

Feeling great in 2012!
I've posted this in the VLCD section as I think that it will apply to all VLCDs.

When I did Lipotrim in the past I had a reasonably large amount of hair loss for quite a while when I went back onto 'food' again so I'm fully expecting to lose some of my hair this time round too. I have relatively thick hair so it didn't notice to be honest but the hairdresser noticed. Just wondered if there was any supplement that was worth taking to try to prevent the hair loss, or perhaps to encourage regrowth, or is it a case of just waiting for it to grow back?

there are some hair and nail supplement in the chemist you can get i think but i am not sure how much they help?

Kelp tablets are supposed to be really good for encouraging hair growth and strengthening hair, so maybe that could be worth a try.

To be honest, I've never suffered from hairloss, not even when I was doing SS Cambridge and. I'm now on All About W8 which gives me about 850 cals a day, so I don't think it will be an issue this time.

The supplements that I know works for hair loss is Biotin, you can buy it from holland and barretts and it strengthens your nails as well. Its amazing, I cannot recommend it highly enough.
