I'm a supply teacher, so work through the holidays as I can't afford not to. This time it's been at Habitat on the tills, which I don't mind, but the shifts are 10am til 6.30pm. Usually I get to school for about 7.45am and I'm home by 5 to half past and do exercise classes that start at 5.45, then enjoy cooking dinner and have the rest of the evening. I can't WAIT to get my normal routine back. Time to exercise and time to enjoy cooking again.
Anyway - just needed to get that off my chest before I get started today. (1st of the last four days of disrupted routine).
PS I'm not moaning (I know I'm lucky that there's work available in my area). It's just that it's good to have a reminder that 'normal' life is good sometimes as it's easy to take things for granted. Just had enough of a reminder now.
