i would see your g.p and get it sorted out. they will do blood tests to see if you have low iron etc.

hope you feel better soon.

i had the same problem as was very anemic and is sorted now and i feel much better.

I suffer from the same problem - I go to the bed around 10pm and then I am awake between 2am and 4am. Like you it is driving me insane.

Lets hope your doctor can shed some light. :)

You are not wasting the docs time. Walking up in the middle of the night is a classic indicater of stress & you need to address it early if it is the problem.

It may not be iron you're deficient in. Most of the population is deficient in vitamin D, and that can cause tiredness. There's other things as well such as thyroid problems and other hormones, as well as things like stress, anxiety and depression (not that I'm saying you have any of them, just saying they can cause you to feel tired).

Yes I certainly do suffer from this. Though in my case I am puttint it down to:-
Menopause, stress and very early light mornings.
Hope you get some satifaction at the GP's.

Permanently tired here. But I put it down to depression and anxiety even though I take meds for it, as it wasn't so bad before it kicked in :(

Definitely get to the docs tho as it could be any one of a number of things or nothing much at all!

Hope your appointment went well!

I was always exhausted and doctor couldn't shed any light except for trying to give me sleeping pills!

So I ended up getting a hypnosis app on my iPhone that I listen to when I go to sleep and an eye mask and I swear to god it's like someone knocks me unconscious I have the best nights sleep & have stopped waking up In the night!

It's not for everyone but worked for me, hope your trip to the doctor went well
