Hi
I joined SW in May, i did really well and lost just under a stone in a few weeks. Then it happened, im a teacher and we hit the holidays, my routine went out of the window and i began eating (all the wrong things) I stopped going to meeting as i knew i was going to put on.
Anyway the hols are almost over and i want to get back on track.
We have medical scales at school and im going to do it alone this time. Im going to weight myself every monday morning and am going to plan my meals and snacks well.
I have decided to start the plan again on 29th as this gives me time to plan a weeks meals and get to Tesco to buy everything.
Wish me luck
Clare :)

Congratulations for getting back 'on the wagon' Clare !! Good luck with your journey !!

Hi Clare, I'm a teacher too and it is tough during the hols. I am back at school now - Scotland goes back earlier - and having no access to the fridge does help - though all the chocolates and cake in the staffroom don't help. Monday was my first day back on plan, I went in and there were crisps on the table and a chocolate cake for someone's birthday. I nearly decide to wait until the next day to start - but then I thought there are always going to be birthdays in a big school, and people are constantly bringing in biscuits, chocolates and crisps. I have put on a stone and a half since coming offplan in February and I don't want to put on any more, I knuckled down and got on with it. My first weighin was the next morning and since then I have dropped 6lb (I'm doing a vlcd) I hope to have lost another 1lb by Tuesday, but after that I am weighing in on a Friday. I am trying to get away from daily weighing as I do get obsessive!!!!! The best of luck with your journey.

Hi Lass!

I'm back at school too, and yes, the staffroom is full of cakes - from our new Depute. I have a rule (ever since first starting AAW) not to have any snacks at school. It has been mostly easy to stick to, but then I'm an all or nothing kind of girl .

Congrats, Lass, on (a) only putting on a bit of weight since February, and (b) already losing a third of it :D.

I went to see Lorraine today and got weighed because yes, I am back on the wagon again. However, I looked away from the scales because I don't want to see the numbers :sigh:. I don't need to see them to know it's not good news.

I have decided for the short term to do Rapid, and see how I get on, it may just be the kick start I need. Lorraine made the new macaroni cheese and I tried it. It's ok, and I think I'll try it for tea with a bit of cauliflower tomorrow.

Isn't it strange that holidays are so diffcicult, I simply have to fix this because, like you, I was ok during term time but it all fell apart in the holidays. I never even went away this time :sigh:, so what was my excuse?

Anyway, back to school for me and back to a strict routine again, phew, what a relief. Are you doing the Tesco Diet then? What's it like?

Welcome back AJ - I'm really pleased to see you! I haven't tried the mac cheese yet - my sister said it was ok but the pasta bits a wee bit hard. I'll try it at some point. I'm doing avidlite dietimeals at the mo as I can't afford the W8 packs just now (though don't tell Lorraine or my sister lol). Sorry for hijacking your post Clare - oops (lol).

Thank you all for your replies and dont worry about the hijacking lol :)
Im back at school next week but like u say there is always something in the staff room so that will have to be avoided.
Im going to be very planned and try and make double so what i have for tea i have for dinner that next day or i will have an emergency jacket pot.
Im doing the Slimming World diet and fingers crossed it goes well.
My goal is to look ok by christmas and look good for next summer when we go to Turkey.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday - it sounds like you are all planned out re: the food! I've been back at school 2 weeks now and am at the stage of saying 'Holiday, what holiday?'

Hopefully once back at school you will be able to get into a routine and then you will be flying. Good luck.

Irene xx

Hi there Irene :wavey:, its lovely to see your profile pic of Sarah, who I regularly think about :( Still can't quite believe she is not going to post again. AJ

Claire, make your mind up to say 'no' to cakes and biscuits in the staffroom. It is surprising how easy it becomes after that. It is a small thing but it is one thing I have kept up for over a year now, and I don't regret it.

I felt like that after ten minutes, Lass :D!
