Hi everyone

am changing over from atkins to ww this thursday (want to get a full month of atkins done)

please can you help with these?

would i put weight on the first week as atkins is very low carb?

weekly points - can you use your daily points as well as you weekly points? so example 36 daily allowace then 49 on top so say a sat night i could have the 36 and 49 in same day?

also is ALL fruit and veg 0 pro points? does this meen frozen too?

also how many pp in a chicken beast?, jacket potato?

how do you work the pp out in food?

i have a meeting set for thurs night and looking forward to it :)

p.s how many pp in bottle of normal rose wine?;)

you shouldn't put weight on if you eat by the rules and carefully, but I'd say don't expect the huge losses some people get in the first week. You never know you might blow it out of the water!

Eat weeklies the way you want, all in one day or shared over. I would try to avoid eating the extra weeklies in larger quantities right before weigh in though.

Sweetcorn and peas are the only ones that arent free as far as i can remember, but you'll get your pack telling you all the points related stuff xx

i know that the average bottle of wine is 20pp :p

Welcome to WW!!!

Im not sure about whether youd put on weight swapping from atkins. I presume you would put on a few pounds as having been on such a restrictive diet and then to eating normally, it'll take your body a bit of time to adjust. Again im no expert so maybe someone else will have a better idea.

Yes you can eat both your daily and weekly points in one day if you want. (Im sure some people would say not to do that EVERY week as you dont want to get in the habbit of binging). But yes in theory you can have them all in one day.

All fruit and veg is free :) except from beans, peas and sweet corn (and potatos of cause)

Chicken breast, skinless, grilled (about 120g) = 4pp
I think a medium jacket potato (about 225g) = 8pp (someone check that)

For a bottle of rose wine i count about 18pp on the theory that you get about 4 large galsses out of a bottle.

Im not sure what you get at meetings (i register online) but you'll be given every thing you need. I use a data base on the WW website that has alot of food already pointed. Otherwise you can put in the nuitritional information into a specially designed calculator (or i use the iphone app) and that works it out for you.

Hope this helps!

i would say you'd be on an even keel with atkins... its not restrictive like a vlcd is, but if you are in ketosis you'll probably put a bit of water weight on coming out of it. I would say if you have a REALLY good first week, the very very worst you could expect is a STS x

thanks everyone :) how many pp in butter? x
