Vibration plates

Hi

Has anyone been on or has a vibration plate? Do you think it makes a difference?

My fitness instructor has a mobile one and she thinks it works in toning and weight loss........ i am thinking about getting one either on hire or buying one.
I do 7 exercise classes a week (Zumba x2, legs, bums&tums, Pilates, Yogalites, Auqa Zumba and aerobics) i want to keep the toning side up too as i want my skin to keep up with weight loss..... so i could add the plates in each day which would enhance my workouts.

Your views would be appreciated

I have been on the one at my gym and in all honesty I did not rate it and all of us who have used it have different opinions. Some say yes it was good or like me don't think much of it.
Know that this is absolutely of no use to you :D:D
When they first bought it they had an introductory offer so we all rushed to use it but since then I very rarely see anybody going into the room - they have to come through the fitness room to get in there - but will ask this week how things are going with it now.

Oooooo im house sitting at the minute and the woman here has her own, so i think im gunna challenge myself to use it every day up till 29th august to see how it goes :) ill let you know how i get on :) xx

I think it works as long as you do the exercises that are recommended to go with it.
I haven't used them but I have friends that have and reckon they make a difference, you need to give them a month!

Thanks ....... I think i will hire one for a month 1st and see what i think before i buy....... or maybe pop into the gym and use the weight section instead of just the bike & cross trainer :)

I did a months course and honestly did not see any difference. There was a girl going in to the room today so I asked her how she was getting on and said she had done the month then stopped and was starting again as she thinks that you have to carry on with it and not stop after a month.
Suppose it is like everything else - you have to keep them up. :)
