hiya, im sorry if there is a dedicated thread to this topic, but i was just wondering what people have for snacks ??? as the title says im on day 1 & have my main meals sorted but i am little bit peckish already, and dont know what to have as a snack as i usually have fruit or carrot sticks.....any help or ideas would be VERY juch appreciated, thanks x

pepperami, babybel, pork scratchings, boiled eggs, atkins bars (if you must)

Plus cold sausages, left overs from dinner, celery with avocado dip, parmesan stick wrapped in parma ham....

Making myself hungry:D

Bacon, avocado and tomato wrapped in lettuce leaves

A can of tuna. All of it :D

I always cook more protein than I need so there are leftovers to graze on - some days you won't be hungry, other days you will want to eat the entire contents of your fridge and then go to your neighbour's for more! :D

brilliant thanks , so i can "snack" on any of the allowed foods ?!?!?!?!?!

it says you can eat ham, is the packet wafer ham ok ???? or does it have to be deli/butchers ham ??? sorry for the Q's..im just wondering about what to snack on tonight, usually on a friday its french fries and curly wurlys :D

No fries today :)

Ham is usually OK, just watch the carbs and sugar levels, the honey cured ham is a no no. I often get the Tesco German smoked ham - it's 1g carbs per 100g and only a trace of sugar.

You will become a label detective - some foods can vary wildly in carb content! it will also make you much more aware of how much salt is piled into foods!

thanks lol.....im sure i will get to know whats good or not in no time at all, i ahve just seen that SF jelly is a YES....so ahve made some up,desperately waiting for it to cool enough to go in the fridge lol.....need a little sweet something right now, and yes definately no french fries crisps for me today ;)

I love sf jelly!! It is SO de-lish!!! :)

SF jellly & Tesco double cream. I know it can be a pain at first, but I can't say enough...check the labels in the beginning. Carbs can vary so much! I love flat mushrooms with pesto & Blue cheese. Drizzled with oil & baked. When I started to look at jars of pesto I couldn't believe the difference in them. In the end I found Tesco classic green pesto was much lower than any others I could find!

Re snacks. Cold meats (check, check, check the carbs), marmite cheeses, pickled eggs, pepperami/salami sticks...I need my breakfast now, lol
