Excercise - Will I see a difference?

Hello All,

Im on a sort of six week blast for my honeymoon following SW religously and excercising.

Now I know I will loose around a 1lb a week using SW (if not more) as I havent alot to loose.

But I have just joined the gym for six weeks - I am not an unfit person I used to run twice a week and walk the dog alot. I suffered an injury and havent excercised for about 5 weeks.

I am all healed up - and commenced training this week in the gym I am doing the following;

Tues: LBT
Wed: Aqua Zumba
Thursday: 30 laps of pool
Friday: LBT
Saturday: 40 Min Gym Session Followed by 20 laps of the pool

So Five sessions a week (3 classes, 1 Pool only and 1 Pool and Gym)

Im hoping thats enough to really speed up the weight loss. Is that varied enough and generally enough to help me loose?

Or am I overdoing it (according to my mum I am :()....As I thought 5 times a week (45 mins - 1:20 mins) is not excessive for a 6 week burst?

I am worrying as I have 7-8lbs to loose in 6 weeks!!

Thanks :)

No your not over doing it......Just remember you might Stay the same or gain a little after the 1st week as that will be muscle gain - Trust me!!!! I am i diabetic and a slimming world girl and i do from Tuesday to Friday 7 hours of classes (nearly the same type as you) plus of a weekend i pop to the gym and do a hour bike ride and a swim....... Its not too much as long as you dont do yourself a injury......Warm up - cool down and dont drink lots of water while doing your classes (small slips only) save the drinking till aftwewards....... I have seen the different, in 3 weeks my belt have gone in 3 holes....and 2 out of the 3 weeks i was just eating normal not on slimming world again...... If you have a dog, walking it one of the best exercises. Where abouts in Wales are you??

)

Believe me my dog gives me no choice takes two hours of walking a day! I live toward abergavenny so I have lots of mountains to choose from :)!

No I dont think you're over doing it as long as you dont push yourself too much during the classes that you're doing... :) I play netball twice a week and have caused myself no end of injuries mostly to my feet but I have always carried on training after a week of rest because it does your body good... 1. To not get out of the habit of exercising and 2. To not stop stretching your muscles and bones to working because they will heal.

Also I found the best exercise is power walking... Swimming works all your muscles too. Like mentioned above though remember that your first week you may weigh the same in not heavier because of storing up excess water round your muscles :) Good luck hun and enjoy your honey moon, where you off nice?? :) xxx
