Gonna ask a very dull simple question

Just need some motivation...
I did this diet in 2009 it was amazing, I did it all through Step 2 (810 cals) with alot of cardio.

Lost my Dad Dec 2009, piled it all on and then some.

I want to go back on a second time to lose the 55lbs, yes 3.5 stone that I piled on.

Just tell me, please say it will work a second time , or do you become immune.

I just want it to work a second time.

I dont like SS its too hardcore, I like the one meal of solids.

Lemme know your views.

Im now 13st 8 and want to go back to the 9st 10 I was before I screwed up.

Cheers.

Hi Dayna, I didn't reply because this is my first time on the Cambridge diet. But I'm sure you will be fine because quite a lot of other folk on the forum have done Cambridge before. I like the SS plus too. Very sorry to hear about your Dad. It is always hard to control eating after a family bereavement. Anyway Good luck and you could see what your CDC thinks.

Can't you do SS+ or the 810 plan? I think that they both include a meal. Hoping that someone with more experience will come along........

If you know from experience that 810 was great for you before there is no reason why you shouldn't do that again! Finding what you can comfortably stick to for a long time is what gets you thin!

There is no reason at all that it shouldn't work a second or a tenth time so long as people stick to the diet properly. When we hear about the 'golden first time' - which is often the time the diet seems easier and more successful than later restarts - we sometimes think this means it only works well that one time. That is not true but it does seem to get harder and harder to stick to SS each time you cheat, restart, cheat, restart again... This is nothing to do with the diet, it is to do with the dieter!

I much preferred the added food plans when I was on Cambridge. I did the old 790 plan when I just couldn't SS any more (there was no SS+, then).

Good luck with your restart!

Hi i'm a re-starter (well not the second time to be honest) I find it just a little bit harder because you know what is coming (ie headaches etc) :)

Just started SS+ today.

Going to try to do it all shakes n soups and do bars after a month, not two weeks.

If it's too hard I'll do 3 shakes and 200 cal meal.

Taking it one day at a time.

I'm 13st 11 want to drop to 9st 7

Let's do this.

I'm in exactly same place as u. This is my second day.
Im doing ss+
I weigh 14 I wanna get to 10...
How u finding it

Hiya

This is my day 1

Had one headache but briefly. But fine.
Peeing alot, as per lol

I'm doing SS+ consisting of four shakes and not the 200 cal meal. Will try to have a solid free month, not even bars. To really kick it in. Then will try to do a month with bars and then do the 200 cal meal and drop a shake in month 3 then step 2 in month 4

That's the plan.

I'm just taking it day by day...

Ive got a new and VERY supportive counsellor this time. She's ace.

But today she told me I can't have sweetners in my decaf which I'm gutted about, it didn't affect me first time..? Will 2 sweetex really take me out of keto?

Anyone?

Wish you luck too, if I can support you in any way just holla ;)

D

I'm 13st 11 wanna be 9st 7

Good luck Dayna - I'm on day 1 of a restart too, finding it quite easy at the moment but that's not to say I'll continue like that SS 3 packs for me, done 3 litres of water so far and am 2 packs down.

I have sweeteners in my coffee - hermesetas. They don't affect my losses at all. I am surprised that you have been advised NOT to have them.

Aspartame (canderel, etc) is often advised against for health reasons. But ordinary saccharine sodium-type tablet sweeteners have been in use since WWII. I need my coffee sweet! I, too, have decaf. Without sweeteners I cannot enjoy my tea and coffee.

I'm restarting after gaining 2.5 stone:( 11.9 hoping to get to 8.7!!!
Can I join you thread to support each other? The first few days were awful last time and I'm dreading having to do it again

Hi all

I'm a re starter too. Today is my first day on ss+. Daynadoo - how have u been getting on with the diet?

I'm glad ive found some other ss+ dieters on here as most people seem to be doing ss.

How's everyone else been getting on with the diet?
