Not sure if it's been mentioned before but Wilkinsons sell a 50g portion of cathedral city cheddar, perfect for people like me who daren't have a whole pack in the fridge.

*Wilkinsons*? I thought they sold household cleaning stuff, dog food, lamps and general junk? :D

Ahhhh. The one at my mum's hasn't ventured into the 1st century yet then

Thats ok for anyone that does red/green days but not for anyone doing EE. A 50g block is almost double your daily HexA allowance of full fat cheddar!! Even if it was low fat it is still 8g over.

I buy the normal block, grate it all in one go then weigh and bag it into daily allowance sized portions.

To say I'm a cheese addict is an understatement!!! Before SW I used to buy 2x 400g blocks of cheese every week and there are only 3 of us in the house. If I can find the willpower to stick to the limits then anyone can!!!! lol

The theory was you could cut it in half and then not have lots of temptation in the fridge but hey i'll keep my discoveries to myself next time :(

For anyone doing Ee I find the low low cheese is very creamy and 1 hexa is 42 g so nearly double the allowance! Great for me as I eat cheese on near enough anything!!!

In theory we have to learn to control temptation,I know what I shouldn't have so don't have it,otherwise I wouldn't have joined sw. I buy lots of cheese with growing teens. I grate a big pack in processor. Stick it in Tupperware bowl in fridge. I then weigh out my 28g when I'm using it. I wouldn't think about opening the lid and delving in just because it's sat there xx

Oh I would!!!! I'm so much better now I'm doing Sw tho....before I would quite happily eat a block of cheese the way others eat a chocolate bar! It's my nemesis!!!

Cheese addict here! Thanks for that find ali. It'd be really useful for people like me that take baked potatoes etc to work. I can cut the block in half and don't need to weigh it!

Oh no don't do that!! I get 50g portions of cheese from M&S, so that I can have lots of different kinds, and also because for some bizarre reason it is often cheaper to buy them than to buy the bigger blocks. They do my favourite Cornish Cruncher cheddar in the small blocks - yummy!

But there are lots and lots and lots of us who *DO* do red and green! Thanks for the info x_ali_x :)

Great idea if you are on the move. I tend to buy ready sliced cheese & have 1 slice if it's full fat & 2 if it's low fat.
