A letter to me

This is such a good idea that I thought I'd give it a go.

Dear Me,

Whenever temptation is calling come back and read this letter to remind why you must stay strong.

Remember how you used to feel when you got dressed for a night out? You had a wardrobe full of clothes you felt and looked good in. You can feel that way again, every pound you lose takes you closer, don't give up now.

Remember the way your husband used to look at you? He still loves you and would like that intimacy back as much as you do. You feel more and more comfortable with yourself as the weight comes off.

Your body will never be the same again after having the children. Accept it. Whenever you feel disheartened and like an alien in your own body look at them and what YOU made. Nobody but you could have made these two children - be proud of yourself.

Whilst we are on the subject of the children, where are you in all the photos? Hiding behind the camera too embarrassed to be seen because you feel so fat and unattractive. Get in the photos and be proud of what you have achieved so far. Think how much you will enjoy looking back on how far you came.

Remember sitting by Fraser’s hospital bed stuffing snickers and coke in your mouth. You thought that it would stop you facing the reality that you might lose him. It didn’t. It wasn’t comfort food that got you through those long, dark hours. It was the love you have for that little baby and the support of your family and friends. You are stronger than you think. If you can do that you can do this.

You have two gorgeous kids to play with and have fun with. Every moment is precious and you know it. Start living it. You are getting fitter all the time. See if they can keep up with you now!

You started this journey for yourself, because you want to take control of your weight and love yourself again. You have to put yourself first in order to look after everyone else. Finish the job you started.

With love

Lee-Anne

It's funny how existing wardrobes are a huge factor for many of us. I have so many beautiful clothes that I can't fit into - it's ridiculous. And just like you, I love it when my husband can't keep his eyes (and hands :giggle:)off me and part of it is when I'm slim, I'm confident and it makes you more flirty with your partner.

With so many good reasons to spur you on, I can't wait to celebrate your successes with you.

:) Xx
