Too tired to workout

Hi all,
I've just started working out and I've been working out at the gym for just over 2 weeks now. I'm facing a few probs...appreciate your feedback and thought on how to overcome them

I workout at lunch time (12pm) and I eat right after it. Everything was fine in the first week...I am now very tired to work out...I kind of push myself a bit..but I dont really work out like mad. This is what I do at the gym:
30 min - Cross trainer
10 min - Treadmill (sometimes)
A bit of weights (50 reps of upper chest exercises)

To add to this, I did a 3.5 mile walk yesterday. Even though I had a hot shower, had loads of salad and had a good night;s sleep, I am dead tired now. I was hardly able to workout today...managed just 20 mins on the cross trainer...

Is anything wrong with what I am doing? I have a decent diet...
I had a cheese sandwich this morning (cheat) and a sub (veggie delite without cheese) for lunch...I also had a banana for lunch...

I am so dead tired now, that if you just push me with a finger, I can fall asleep!

And the most depressing part of my exercise so far is, I put on weight this week! I am back to 156 lb!! It is not likely to be muscle...I am hardly doing any weights!!

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi tulipz,

Sounds like you're doing an awful lot to me if you've only just started, maybe you should be doing less at first and then increase it as your body gets used to it

I started swimming 2 or 3 months ago and even though I swim a lot every summer at first I was very tired after 15 -20 mins. I've gradually increased it and can now do about 30 mins in the morning and an hour in the evening and feel less tired than I did at first with only 20 mins.

Have a rest day in between your exercises. It gives your muscles times to adjust, you are less likely to injure yourself and you can have a nap!

Then on the days you do work out you can work out really, really, really hard!
