Today is 1 month, since I began Dukan, 1 month since I sat in Waterstones with a Costa coffee and leafed through the book, and thought "shall I buy it"?

So glad I did. I am now the weight I was 5 years ago, and although 13lbs doesn't sound a lot , its a huge amount to me (26 packets of lard).

I just feel so relieved, that finally something is working, and that I am not attending those depressing slimming classes where there are slimming world/WW/Scottish Slimmer (Marjory Dawes)leaders, who burst your bubble, and say "ahhhhh you've put on this week". Then with the feeling of failure , raging hunger and dejection, you continue to self destruct on the way home, pop into the co-op and buy a bar of Galaxy. Is it any wonder I always got so far and gave up.

So I am happy. Today is going to be a good day. Next target is another 5 pounds away, (hopefully within the next 2 weeks).

Wishing you all a lovely day,

Tessa

well done. You have taken control x

You are spot on about the slimming clubs Tessa. They are designed with failure in mind. If there was a 100% success rate, how would they make their money?

Awful, awful things.

A huge big well done for losing 13lbs. And that is a LOT! Have you tried carrying around a 13lb bag of potatoes for any length of time? It's heavy!!

Fantastic post.

Well done - it's great to hear - I'm a week in and its so encouragig to hear your story. I completely agree about the clubs too!

That's fantastic well done!!!

I've just got the book and I'm half way through it - it seems complicated but your story is inspirational. I'm very familiar with the ways of slimming world.
