Hi Everyone

Well I was around for a short while on the old 'discovery' forum when I attempted cd for the first time, then I was here almost exactly a year ago when i had my second go - - and now i am embarassed to say i am here for my third and LAST time on cd ss. There can't be another go 'cause each time i try it gets harder to get back into ketosis so this is make or break time.

Tomorrow afternoon I will be meeting with the forums very own JANE who is to be my new cdc. I will be starting ss on friday and my intention is to be at goal weight by new year as i am pretty sure i have between 3 and 3.5 stone to lose - - again! Of course i will post full details when i am fully weighed in and measured etc - - i suppose i shall be doing the usual humiliating pictures too : )

I have spent the last week reading journals, posts, blogs and looking at the pics galleries and inspiration slide show on here and can only say what an amazing group of people you are!

Looking forward to getting to know you all and hi again to those i recognise from before

Hi Jules, you sound good and determined so I am sure 3rd time lucky it is!

Best of luck!

Thank you Sam

well i am just home from my initial meeting with jane and yes i feel already that we will get along well - ( not as well as i get along with her dogs mind you lol ) - and that she is going to be the cdc who will inspire me to lose it all and keep it off!

couldnt be happier and more motivated and yes i am really looking forward to starting tomorrow now!

shall set up a ticker later : )

Having completed 6 days SS with no cheating I couldn't be happier - - - 6lbs down!

thanks Jane and see you in a couple of weeks!

Actually I just want to add something
Three stone sounds very little to lose compared to some of the folks here with higher targets
and I sometimes think that those of us with lesser amounts to lose let ourselves get demotivated when our losses are relatively small - - I know that 6lbs is a fab loss for me but small compared to some of the ladies who lost say 10 or 11lbs in their first week

Well to those of you with smaller amounts that need to go I say its all in proportion and that small 6lb on me is probably as noticeable as 11lb on someone who starts off larger. So don't be disheartened and don't think it can't be done - 'cause it can!

I feel really motivated right now - - more so than I have on any of my previous attempts at SS. Fingers crossed I will keep this up and in two weeks time when I have another weigh in I hope another 6 will be gone ( 2x3 )

good luck y'all!

Well just before bed last night I was given some fab news and the best of incentives to stick with SS and finally get this weight off for good:

Each year my OH gets sent to Vegas all expenses paid ( except alcohol and gambling ) for about 8 days to a huge broadcasting conference. I always tag along ( well it would be rude not to lol ) and despite the fact that I travel internationally all year round for work, it really is the highlight of my year, every year.

Well it had looked like next April might be a no go due to budget cuts but last night he emailed me from new york with a really difficult ( imho ) puzzle to work out:
1) 2.5 S T L =
2) 2 + 7X27+3=
3) 8n @ LVH=
4) A. S. A's & 8's
5) 58 (hint:RE) =
6) 4-14 ROBF =
7) JJ's L @ P =
8) 4-15 B THT =
9) ABB =
10) New LBD =

If I tell you that 1) is 2.5 stone to lose, 10) is new little black dress - you get the idea.

Well, I won't go into detail on the others but basically it was telling me that Vegas is now set in stone - booked - and I can look forward to 8 nights at The Las Vegas Hilton in April 2008 .. wooohoooo!!!!

I am so excited I am like a child this morning.

Anyway that is my inspiration and motivation for the day and something I can look towards if my willpower starts to slip.

Have a fab day everyone and stay focused!
