For the last few years I have suffered bouts of labyrinthitis, (dizziness, off balance) and it knocks me back for days. I seem to get worse attacks after doing jumping about exercises, zumba type ones, so was wondering if Pilate's would be a good form of exercise to do instead. I have had a look at various sites for beginners Pilate's dvds and the reviews vary, so can anyone recommend a good DVD?

I had a look on there that's always my first port of call for reviews, but I just found to many differences of options for the same DVD. Just wondered if there were any tried and tested ones people like on the forum.

Darcey Bussell's pilates video is great. I have a bad back and do this video, she starts from the beginning but also does some intermediate exercises. It's got quite relaxing music which helps.

I have just started doing POP pilates, they're Youtube videos :)

Hi Mrs Kim,
I like Lynne Robinsons Pilates dvds (but not the one with Fern Britton) - they are quite slow paced - but it allows you to get the techniques, she's very clear with instructions too, and there's no unnecessary music, chit chat or celebrities...think of her as Delia rather than Sophia Dahl iykwim

If you have good internet connection it might be worth having a look on YouTube to see what style you like (there are many Stott is quite flowing, Winsor is about getting quick results)

good luck - oh and if a pilates exercise seems easy - your'e probably doing it wrong!
