Have just ordered my Exante products!!

Hi all, have just ordered my Exante diet products so hopefully they should be with me sometime tomorrow.
I'm eager to get started but a little apprehensive too as I have never done any sort of food replacement diet before.
Am going to try and incorporate some exercise as well but am not sure if it will ok to do any until my body adjusted to the diet.
Anyone have any advise for a newbie and how did you find the first few days?
I'm gonna need all the support I can get :)

Just remember this diet is only temporary, once the weight is off we can eat again (although maybe not as much as we have been!!). The first days can be tough but you will get through it. Drink lots of water, keep some headache pills handy and keep your hands busy and away from the fridge!!

Good luck! The first few days are the hardest but the first weigh in makes it worth it! You soon find things to do in the time you used to use to prepare meals! I like watching old episodes of ER but you'll find something!

Good luck and don't forget this site is full of really useful tips and suggestions- I can fill a few ours just looking at the before n after photos or reading through some diaries :)

How you finding the diet?

Hi Dawn thanks for asking and congrats :) on your weight lose so far How did you find your first week?
My bumper pack arrived today which includes soups shakes and bars as I had already eaten by the time they arrived I will start tomorrow.
This may sound like a silly question but I'm not really sure how to start I mean what to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner do you have any suggestions or what do you normally do?

Hi Annie wow I'm really inspired by your weight lose congrats and well done.
I actually haven't started yet as I had eaten breakfast before my pack arrived. I intend on starting tomorrow but thanks for checking up on me I feel it is something that I may need during my weight lose journey.

Hi Gina,

I'm starting tomorrow as well. don't eat anything, have breakfast as a shake, lunch as a bar and then a shake for tea and drink loads and loads of water. You can have tea and coffee with sweetner and I have skimmed milk as well. This is the way I did Cambridge diet and managed to lose 4 stone.

Good luck anyway

Liz

Hi gina, first few days are def hard work but results will be so worth it. Another tip is have some coke zero around for times when people tempt you. I was tempted today by my daughter waving chocolate in front of me but managed to resist. Come on here as much as you can for support and be open minded about all shakes, soups and bars, everyones taste buds are different. I tend to have shake for brekkie, soup (made into poppadoms alternate days) for lunch and a bouillon for tea and save my bar and graize on it in evening whilst watching tv.

Firstly I like peppermint tea for breakfast- especially with the stale mouth you sometimes get in ketosis. Try it it's not something I'd have had before this diet but it's different. I then gave my bar for lunch with a can of coke zero or dr pepper zero and it just feels like a snack/ normal tea break. I normally have a cup of bouillon around 3/4 in the afternoon just for some flavour. Tea is normally a soup nice and hot in a big mug then a milk shake around nine. I drink water all day. Fizzy sometimes straight from the fridge but normally bottled water with a spoonful of their flavourings but someone on here said they are high in carbs- other makes are out there if you look.

Just my day for you... Everyone gets a routine. You'll find yours soon enough :)

Hi Gina, my first week no so bad really, think Id gotten so sick of making food choices (good and bad) was bit of a relief when only choice was shake or bar!
I do half shake for breakfast, bar for lunch, full shake for tea and then half as a top me up, when get too desperate on a night!
Good luck with how youre doing!

Hi gina, hows it going your first week?

Hi it not been as bad as I thought it would be it's only day 2 but so far so good. Now realize how much I pick at food when I'm cooking and giving the children their meals.

I have been having a shake in the morning a bar at lunch-time well usually half a bar with a cup of green tea, a soup in the evening and the other half of the bar with a hot drink later on. My tummy has been rumbling slightly during the night, I usually go to bed late may need to start sleeping earlier think that might help a bit lol..

How have you been?

Hi Gina, well done so far!!
Im ok so far too, day 23 today and as my OH said, thats a quarter of my three month target.
I'd love three stone = 3 months, but we see how it goes!
Never done one before like this so still dubious that I can do it in 3 months...but hey sticking in there....as Micky Dolenz said Im a believer....!!
Must admit the hunger does go, and never really been mad hungry apart form 1st week where I had to have protein one night.
Anyway, good luck with friday and then its the weekend!

HI Dawn looks like your on track for your target 13lbs in 3 weeks that's 1lb away from a stone and you still have a week to go so well done :happy036: and good luck meeting your target!!!

I have to say I am pleased as I have met one of my mini goals and am now in ketosis :D all be it lightly and I'm on day 3 today yippie hope it continues.
Just hope I don't let myself down during the weekend as that is a true test of my resolve lol...
The thing I'm struggling with is drinking 3 litres of water everyday hopefully it will get easier as I go along.

Hi Miss Gina D.

Starting on Monday. Good to hear you sound so positive.
I am really excited to give Exante a go. All my past diets have been a a total failure. But something has finally clicked..

Good luck with your diet and keep us updated on your progress.

Hi tigger, Good luck with your start on Monday have you pack arrived yet? , I was really excited when my can and enthusiastic about starting too.
I have to say that I am really pleased with how things are going on this diet myself having done WW several years ago.

I unlike most actually like the shakes bars and soups and so far haven't been overly hungry although my stomach sings a different tune lol.

I think you find it quite refreshing not having to count calories or weight food the only dilemma being flavour or to chose between a shake, soup or bar ..Hehe much easier so for that I'm thankful for that.

Just keep in mind the amount of weight you can lose if you stick with it that alone is keeping me motivated and can't wait until Wednesday to weigh myself..

I'll keep you post on how I'm doing and please you do the same I'll be checking in on you!! :)

Hi Miss Gina D I used to make poppadoms with lighter life packs so thought why not do the same with exante. I don't tend to have them daily as microwave cooking can kill some of the nutrients. I mix a soup into a paste with a drop of water and then spread it onto a microwavable plate quite thinly. I then zap it for about 3 mins but may require longer. When done you should be able to peel the poppadom off plate, lay to cool and then break into pieces. I sprinkle cayenne or normal pepper on. Ps I did try make poppadom with tomato basil but it was yacky. It's pretty much trial and error but give it a whirl

Thanks hon, I'm glad you are doing well. A lot of positive coming from you. That's very motivating.

My pack arrived promptly the next day (Friday) but I've decided to wait to start with the diet till Monday. I need to get the weekend out of the way first. Get all my fav foods in before I give em all up. Then have a good clear out of the cupboards to get rid of any temptations. Really excited to start.

I need to have all the options taken out of eating for myself for a while. I've become so obsessed with eating/food/weight/size etc that I've totally lost my way with what's normal. I'm sick to death of feeling bad about everything I put in my mouth. Friends and colleagues all have their own input and it's really just making things worse. I've asked my OH to be supportive and he's agreed.

What's worse is I work shifts (days/nights/earlies/lates/weekends) long hours = boredom= eating. You know it's bad when you find yourself eating a roast dinner or take out at 3 in the morning. It's not ideal.

Anyhoe, I'm going to start my own diary on Monday. Im so glad I found this site. It's been such a great place to center on and find focus and seeing all the fantastic progress everyone has made is so inspirational.

Good luck with your week next week and I'll be popping in to see your progress.
