a quick question if poss please

metrognome

is getting better at it
morning all,
a lot of recipes call for cottage cheese like the quiche and the potato scones, my question is could i use the likes of philiadelphia mixed up with a little milk instead as long as i count it as a healthy extra a or syns as i never have any cottage cheese in when i want to cook stuf but have loads of the philly stuff
thanks

I would think that would work, I think a lot of people use cottage cheese because it's syn free. But i've used quark in the quiche instead of cottage cheese and it worked fine and philly is similar to quark isn't it?
I think it would be much tastier aswell cos philly is loads more cheesy than quark and cottage cheese... yum!! lol
Good luck xxx

I assume that would work, and would probably taste a bit nicer as well! If you were willing to use a couple of syns as well, you could use a flavoured philly, like the garlic and herb one to give it an extra kick!

Yes, there is a recipe on here for mini quiches that uses melted low fat cheese spread and they taste great so it should work fine
