Friday 12th August 2011 (Green)

After having a look at my first food diary I realised it's been nearly a year since I last posted my food diary! :eek: So I figured it's time to start afresh with a new spangly diary, wooo! :D:D

I weigh myself at home on a Friday morning...I've lost 1.5lb this week! :bliss: It's finally going in the right direction after putting on 8.5lb over the last 3 weeks, oops! :eek: Boredom eating over my holidays I think :)

For those of you who don't know me I'm a secondary school science teacher, so the prospect of 4 more weeks of gains wasn't on, lol! I'm taking control now...onwards and downwards it is! :D I tend to do a mix of green and EE, so today is a green day :) It's not particulary inventive, but I'm essay writing for most of the day! :(


Breakfast:

2 small bananas
1 Alpen light double chocolate (1/2 HexB1)

Lunch:

Savoury rice with sweetcorn and sliced cooked portobello mushrooms mixed in
14g parmesan, grated (1/2 HexA1)

Snack:

Nectarine
Velvet crunch - salt and vinegar flavour (yum!) (4 syns)

Supper:

Really cheesy omelette (3 eggs, salt, pepper, 63g RF cheese (1.5 HexA2)
Baked beans
SW fried potatoes
1 tbsp olive oil (HexB2)

Dessert:

Strawberries
Count on us tropical yoghurt
1 Aldi cereal bar (less than 70 calories) (1/2 HexB1)

Random question:
The fried potato, is that just slices of potato done in frylight?
I used to love doing that in oil but havent tried in the frylight and really fancy it now!

Hiya hun! Yep, I just fry slices of potato in fry light...yummy! :) xx

I boil them first , let them dry in their own heat and then fry with fry light. They are lovely and crispy then.

Saturday 13th August (EE)

Morning all! I'm editing yesterday's food to include 4 sugarfree butterscotch sweets from Aldi. They are so much nicer than Werther's sugarfee sweets! :D By my calculations they have 8.5 calories in a sweet, so I'm going to count them as half a syn each (if anyone wants to be pedantic they work out as 2.5 syns for 6 :))

Today's food is as follows:

Breakfast:

Nectarine
2 clementines
An apple

Snack:

Grapes

Lunch:

2 x wholemeal bread toasted (HexB)
EL flora (2 syns)
2 fried eggs
Bacon with all fat removed
1 tbsp ketchup (1 syns)

Snack:

Vanilla muller light with chocolate sprinkles
Celebrations bounty (2 syns)

Supper:

Chicken and ham risotto (rice, chicken, ham, peppers, onions, mushrooms, sweetcorn, peas, garlic, stock, salt and pepper, 1 tbsp of tomato puree (between 4, so negligible syns) (going to count 3 syns for oil)
Mushrooms
Green beans
21g RF cheese and 14g parmesan (HexA)


Syns: 10 + 40 alcohol syns (I really wish they'd make lager with lower syns!)

Total syns for the week: 54

Syns remaining: 51

I too am a teacher so the holidays are def harder! all that 'spare' time to syn up on stuff! Extra lunches out etc... x
 
It;s my WI tomorrow and i am soooo hoping to get my 4.5 stone sticker....apart fro 1 meal out i have stuck to it quite well...need more super free foods tho! I always do!

Morning all! :) I'm having a bit of a can't be bothered day today...feeling a bit under the weather. I'm probably going to come down with something. Typical as I want to give blood next monday, grr! :( On a more positive note though, I haven't had a cigarette for a whole 4 weeks! Wooo! :bliss:

Hmmm...today is turning into quite a high syn day. This is not good! Oh well, only one more day after today until WI, so hopefully I'll be ok :)

I'm off to St Davids for the day on Thursday as it's A level results day...it's nice to see how pupils have got on, and give advice to the Year 12 students about next year's course. So I don't know yet what lunch will be...I'll have to eat out, so this could be a bit tricky! St Davids isn't exactly known for low-syn eateries! :sigh: I'm also going to pick up my key for my new houseshare, go to the doctors for a bp check and then back to Carmarthen to pick up my new glasses and the clothes I ordered from Debenhams. Busy day tomorrow! :D

Well I'm very disheartened today. I've been really good this week, and tried really hard, and I STS. I'm starting to wonder what's the point to be honest :(

Well it's a typical show day here...pouring with rain! I think wellies will be needed for the show dance later, lol! :D:D I'm planning to drink diet coke tonight, and do lots of dancing...this is the plan anyways, lol!

Grrr, so annoyed! Just wrote a long post and the damn computer lost it!!

Well my weekend turned into a disaster! I easily ate and drank all of my remaining syns on Saturday and Sunday :( Oh well, I'm going to draw a line under it and carry on. These things happen!

Line coming up in 3, 2, 1 _________________________ :)

I'm going to keep my syns to a minimum from now until WI on Friday morning, but I'm not holding out any hopes of not gaining on Friday.
