do you starve before evening weigh in?

I don't starve but I have my lunch about 1ish and my last drink around 2-3. I weigh in at 5:30.
 
I weigh in at home first thing in the morning now but when I did evening classes I would eat a yoghurt breakfast and one at lunch if I needed it but nothing till after weigh in. :eek:
 
I'm the same as feelina. I weigh at home first thing on a Monday morning. When I went to class the time was 5.30, so I would make sure that I had lunch finished by 1.30pm and then stop drinking fluids at 3.15 just to make sure. As soon as I wad weighed, I would have an apple and a can of pop in my bag to have through the class before heading home to make tea.
 
I eat normally...first couple of weeks this included a kitkat (out of syns) during the afternoon of my weigh in to keep me going. I had 4 and 4.5lb losses those weeks. So now, i dont worry about it. I think if i had started by not eating on weigh in days those first couple of weeks where i was completely on plan then now when i have the occasional blip id be starving myself!!!!
 
This type of panicking is ludicrous though, because all you need worry about is consistancy. Starving yourself on one day wont make a difference overall, all it will do is make that particular day rather unpleasant as you will be hungry all day!

The only thing to worry about is doing the same thing every week. Dont fall into the trap of making that same thing to starve yourself - it achieves nothing and makes weigh in day a chore
 
I just eat normally on my weigh in day. I weigh at a friend's house about 7.30pm and I always eat tea before weigh in.

My theory is that one meal isn't going to make a huge difference and say you ate loads for tea one day and you gained at weigh in, then if it was just from eating lots of tea that evening, it would resolve itself the following week?!?
 
I do eat on weigh in day but do tend to make sure I eat lighter stuff. But then, there are other days when I end up having exactly the same, purely because it's what I feel like eating.

For example, today is weigh in day for me and so food for today has been as follows:


Breakfast - 1/2 punnet strawberries with fat free natual yogurt and a pear

Lunch - Huge mixed salad (mixed leaves, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, mushrooms and sweetcorn) with 2 large slices of cooked ham. Followed by a Muller Light and I also have 2 clementines/satsumas (can't remember which they are!) on my desk for mid afternoon snack if needed.

Dinner - as we only go to class and weigh in rather than staying for class, we have dinner when we get home.

I will carry on drinking my sparkling water at my desk until around 4ish and then only have sips if I am really thirsty.

So, I am not starving myself at all, but not having anything too heavy, such as jacket potatoes which I love but tend to bloat me a little.
 
I eat normally. I have just finsihed a coffee and snackums, weigh in is at 6.00.
 
Glad im not the only one who eats a normal days food...to be honest i think if i starved myself from midday by body would probably just try and hang on to what ive eaten!! i keep drinking up until about an hour before in the hope that ill be fully flushed out during my pre weigh in wee!!!!
 
I don't go to group as doing it myself...and losing - but when I did I used to eat fruit all day. Wore the same leggings and vest, black (obviously so the scales thought I looked slimmer), and try to have as many wee wees as possible and hope that I was lucky enough to had a pooh!!!
 
i have done exactly that and not loved it as I'm really hungry by late afternoon, not going to do it any more as not doing any good! Was determined not to fall into that trap when i started sw!
 
Not at all.
If I starved myself, I wouldn't concentrate at work, I would be tired, irritable and less likely to even make it to weigh in.
I don't eat the same foods each week, the only time I gain is when I've had a particularly heavy (non slimming world!) meal at lunchtime. Pasta, rice, potatoes at lunch are all fine for me, I still lose.
 
I weigh in at 5pm and on weigh in day I have a normal breakfast and lunch (although I won't have a stodgy lunch like pasta on wi day). I have my tea around 5-5.30 normally so I'm only really cutting out afternoon snacks anyway and I take a snack for after I've weighed. I start drinking a bit less from about 3.30 onwards. I don't stop drinking completely though. I do tend to wear the same clothes which are light, take off most of my jewellery and go to the loo lots as well lol

I weigh in at 12 lunch time. I eat my normal breakfast of muller /cereal fruit. Unless like today,up late so I ate a muller.
 
I have my tea before I weigh in, every week. As long as you do the same each week it doesn't matter! Starving youself before you go on the scales may show a little weight loss - but does it make any slimmer??... no!
I'm assuming thats what we are all here for, to get slimmer, so 'tricking' the scales is pointless

We all have our little hangs-ups, I had to giggle at a lady I knew a few years back that took her earings out, necklace off and her watch off. If it makes you feel better about yourself, then do what you like! but the ultimate question is.. will I get slimmer by doing this? after all we are at 'slimming' world

Thats a good point tbh, it might fool the scales but wont make you any slimmer.

My c does two classes at 5pm and 7pm which i swap between depending on shifts. If i go to the earlier class, i try to have lunch earlier, but generally im up and in work earlier anyway, so would want it earlier anyway!!

my weigh in is on a monday at 7pm!
When im working i will eat breakfast and dinner and have my last drink at dinner and then not eat or drink until afterwards which is easy as I work until 6pm.
When im not at work I will have breakfast and nothing else all day!
I also wear light clothes either my work clothes or leggings and a top, I also go to the toilet before aswell.
