Clothes for small and tall!

Hi fellow slimmers!!

One of the main reasons I am attempting to lose weight is to increase the chances of me being able to buy clothes in high street stores... I cannot buy clothes in high street stores due to being a size 24 AND having a 36" inside leg. There are 'large' shops and 'tall' shops, but very very rarely both. My friend of 5'1" has a very similar problem

I have found a few places though:

Littlewoods do up to a 35" leg in some ranges that actually measure 37" - woohoo too long even for me!

makeyourownjeans.com - mail order jeans/trousers to any custom size - really long wait time, but good when you get them.... although now not so useful as by the time they have arrived, I've slimmed out of them!!

Wondered if anyone had similar problems or better solutions than me! x

New look's inspire range do upto a 34" leg, not sure if thats what they actually measure though. maybe worth a try.
And a 28" for shorties like me. Cant go wrong at those prices either, cheap enough for me to keep getting a smaller size as i loose weight. :) x

I don't buy clothes on the high street much any more. If you go on the websites of most high street stores they have a bigger range of 'specalist' sizes - like Lorna said above new look do a 28" leg online. Next also do a better range of petities, tall (although I tend to be more of a consumer of the petite, so don't kill me if it's reallly rubbish!) and above a 20 online.

poop!! Just checked out new look and they seem to only go up to an 18 in the tall range. :(

But not a problem... thats a size to aim for, give me a few months and I'll be there.

As LornaGrace mentions - price is also a big deal, as I work my way down through the sizes it's costing my a fortune and to get my leg length I really have to pay for my stuff

Hi :)
I'm 6ft tall and a size 28 - jeans & trouser shopping is a straight up nightmare!!
Have you tried the 'Very' website?
Their Tall section goes up to a size 24 and A lot of their main range (not just the plus size bit) go up to a size 24 & have long length in trousers :)
I buy all my jeans from there now as they fit me great and come out even longer than you expect! I ordered a pair that were 31 inch leg & they turned up - and are at least a 33inch!

Long tall sally & 'tall girls' website do some stuff up to a size 22 - wish more places did big sizes for tall people! :)

I, like you, have a 36 inch inside leg, and have just given up trying to find things that fit full length. Instead, I just wear a lot of what would be normal length to anyone else jeans/leggings/trousers as cropped versions. :8855: Obviously this doesnt work with bootcut, but for straight leg or "skinny" type styles it works fine.

Forgot to say - the prices on VERY are pretty great! £20 for jeans yes please! ;)

Price and sizes are great - but still not long enough for me! I guess I will just have to stick to getting them made for me until I slim into high street sizes. Dorothy Perkins do a 36" leg, but still cant get into thier sizes.....yet! :sigh:

I spent my entire childhood growing up in trousers/jeans that were too short and looking like cropped jeans (way before they were in fashion!), I can't bring my self to wear stuff like that now and not really practical for my job as an engineer either
