Does everyone go to class ?

I dont go to class. Would love to but have 4 kids and the classes cost so much! I have my friends books and minimins :) xx

I also have just started doing it from home no class near me and to expensive on line so was quite delighted to come across this site its just great Meg xx

Hi I don't go to class anymore just couldn't make the meetings as we have a 8 month old baby at home and my OH business some times make him home late. I get all my support and information right here. I track my weight using my wii fit board every Tuesday.

Don't know what I would of done without this site.

no doing it at home :)

I go to class. Although to be honest I've just gone to weigh and run lately. The class I go to is conveniently on my way home from work and more often than not I have my 4 year old with me. There is another class later in the evening and I'm hoping to start staying to that one.

I go to class and so glad I do! Sometimes I even take my 2 year old along with me as kids are more than welcome.

I do it myself at home, tried the class route but to be honest I can do it myself with the same results so I save the money instead

I go to class as I find it easier to stay focused when I have people to talk to every week about how I'm doing, and if you do bad the encourage you to lose the weight the next week and you leave feeling good even with a weight gain :D

I go to class because I need the discipline - the thought of being interrogated by my C if I gained weight keeps me on track! However most of the support I need comes off this site.

I go to class as I'm scared I'll fall off the wagon if i don't. the majority of the time i stay, as i like a couple of the women in the group and we have a chat and a laugh, i like hearing other peoples experiences that past week so i know i'm not alone.

i do however sometimes feel their is a script that the C needs to follows so can get a bit boring.

i take my 5 year old, i made the mistake of taking him on a taster night, and a few times he's been its been cakes that have been made for the group tasters. i think he thinks he gets a treat when he goes. He is now missed when i don't take him :)

I do it at home and put the £5.00 in a tub, this is my first weigh in at home and lost , -4 for my first weigh in. When i reach my 1st stone ime going to treat myself with the money ive saved.

I go to class but usually only stay long enough to weigh in. Those times I have stayed for the whole of the class I don't feel it has benefitted me at all as all our consultant does is go through and read out weight loss for everyone.

But I feel that I still need to officially weigh in, in order to stick with it and be disciplined... I know I'd be too tempted to stray and not worry about it so much if I was doing my own weigh in at home.

I go to class, luckily i'm part of the social team doing the weighing so class doesn't get boring for me.

I will admit that I did get a little bored before, but I NEED to stay, everytime I don't I have a really bad week. I have no willpower on my own and I have to have my weekly top-up.

I'd never weigh and run, i'd rather weigh in at home than that - but then i've got no children to worry about :)

xx

I've been to 2 different classes since first joining SW (March 09), I stopped going to class in December & started doing it myself at home this year. I do miss image therapy, I felt encouraged most classes. I'm happier in myself doing it at home plus I have medical scales which are probably better than the SW ones so I know my weigh-ins are accurate x

This is a fantastic idea. I have paid for 12 weeks but after that I think I'll do this. At least that way if I haven't got the money I can still weigh in :). Thanks for the tip

I'm doing it at home at the moment...I'm a student and just can't afford the classes so I bought the books off eBay and I spend a lot of time reading the threads on here to motivate me. I think I'm doing ok, but I would like to go to a class at some point!
