Hi Everyone,

Off to a caravan for 5 days next week for my boyfriends 40th in the Lake district. We've been warned it may rain for 5 days lol but we are from the north east of England, we're are used to it.

I'm takin food shoppin with me to save money and I'm fine with what to take for breakfast and lunch, will also have plenty of fruit but lookin for some ideas for quick, easy evening meals and also nice treats such as cakes etc.

I know people have mentioned Tesco Light Choice cakes but which would you recommend.

Also can you get low pro point custard?

Many thanks in advance x

you can get ww custard i saw it the other day, also ww do cakes which taste ok depending what ones you get....for treats you could get curly wurlys, ben&jerrys frozen yoghurt!.....aero do a little ice cream like a screwball which is only 3 pp its soo nice!....or you could make your own cake ? i saw a recipe on here for a choc fudge cake x

How about bringing mini meringues with 0% fat Greek yoghurt with strawberries , really nice and even better it's pp friendly ;)

Thanks for those suggestions, I love mini meringue's.

Didn't realise that Ben and jerry's done frozen yogurt's so I will definitely look into that and also freezing some curly wurly's, never thought of that.

Ambrosia low fat custard in the wee pots are only 3 pts and are lovely. I sometimes have it poured over jelly with some chopped fruit and a wee drop of squirt cream (1pt) so basically a trifle for only 4pts!! You could defo divide that between 2 tho.

Treat wise, multipack twirls are only 5 pts as are flakes and crunchies. I also buy the chocolate skinny cow ice lollies which are only 2pts or mini twisters are only 1pt, handy for snacking at night.

Crisp wise, French fries, squares and monster munch are all between 2 and 3 pts from a multipack.

I always keep alpen bars handy as only 2 pts and nice with a cuppa.

For dinner could you make bolognese or fajitas etc? The warburtons wraps are only 4 pts and a good size and lovely filled with chicken and onions and peppers. Or maybe a curry? The sainsburys basic curry sauce (like the curry you got at school) is only 9 pts but you can really bulk it out with loads of veg etc.

Cake wise the WW slices are all nice lole the carrot cake and brownie ones.

Hope that helps I've rambled a bit sorry!! :)
